аlex
I'm sure we all know what a spy is? For those of you who have a rough idea here is a brief explanation of what a spy is: Espionage or spying involves an individual obtaining information that is considered secret or confidential without the permission of the holder of the information. Espionage is inherently clandestine, lest the legitimate holder of the information change plans or take other countermeasures once it is known that the information is in unauthorized hands. (Source - Wikipedia.com) For those of you who don't feel like reading any of the above, topic objective down here. Let's focus on one of the so called 'Espionage' organisations; MI:5-6. It used to be that the location of these buildings were unknown, only known to be in London, these days you know where it is. You can see people coming in and out of the headquarters, they even advertise for jobs in newspapers as a receptionist or something like that (of course they have to sign the secrecy act). They obviously don't advertise for field agents, they approach who they think it is appropriate. So, today's topic: Discuss Spies, Espionage, what are your opinions on it? And if you were in a position of power such as head of MI:5-6, what would you do?
~/Coolio Prime\~
I think what I'd do right know and what I'd be doing after learning about the inner workings of the system would be drastically different. Espionage is an interesting concept, something I've always been interested in. Aspects of it like deceit and covering up the truth are things I have a knack for. A large part of it is being able to analyze the human psyche and how to manipulate it.
