Well, I attempted to make a card that was interesting and could counter field nuking effects while still having a powerful and useful yet balanced card. Let's see how I did.

Activate only when a card is played that would destroy 2 or more cards on the field. Pay half of your Life Points. Negate the activation of that card and destroy it. The controller of that card must then discard their hand and draw 1 card. If that card is not a Monster, discard it.

Glad I could help.

Also, I realized why I like this card: Not only can you use it as a counter, you can counter your own cards too, drop your hand (for Fabled/Darkworld abuse) and use it as a last-ditch effort to draw a card that could save you. So it's actually several times more versatile than Stardust Road!

Hmm.. complete hand discard at a cost of 1/2 of LP with a conditional activation.. I'm trying to compare it to starlight road and to solemn Judgment at the same time.. I don't know why, but I can't either say that it's OP, or that it's balanced.. Still, i like the idea .. Maybe the last part of the effect can be scratched, though ..

No no, that's not how the card works. I see what happened, you made a simple mistake. This card is made as an anti-field nuke. The idea works like this: Your opponent (or even you) activates a card that would destroy 2 or more cards on the field, for example Lightning Vortex, Heavy Storm, Mirror Force, etc. This card negates that, destroys the card and then makes the controller of the destroyed card discard their hand and draw a card.
