Three New Sub-types!!!

Recommended Posts

Well title says it all. In an attempt to step up my game, and these are the end result. Three new sub-types.

Morph Monsters
'Morph' monsters are able to change into other Monsters in your Deck that are the same Attribute at Level as themselves. Must useful for Deck thinning and as an alternative to deck-searchers like UFO Turtle, Mystic Tomato, etc. These would be more likely to be used as Deck Support, like Union monsters, rather than as a stand alone Deck type.

Lore: You can discard 1 FIRE Monster from your hand to inflict 600 points of Damage to your opponent's Life Points. You can Tribute this face-up card to Special Summon 1 monster from your Deck that it is the same Level and Attribute as this monster, except a monster with the same name as this card. (You cannot activate this effect during a turn this card was summoned by a 'Morph' monster.)

Lore: As long as this monster is in face-up Defence Position, neither player can change the Battle Positions of their monsters (except by card effect). You can Tribute this face-up card to Special Summon 1 monster from your Deck that it is the same Level and Attribute as this monster, except a monster with the same name as this card. (You cannot activate this effect during a turn this card was summoned by a 'Morph' monster.)
Energy Monsters
'Energies' are little bundles of magical power that move around of their own free will, influencing whatever is in their surroundings. Their effects change as they move between Card Zones, and are mostly positive while in their 'Pure' state. They are useful in element-Decks, which need new ideas, but I think there is a lot of potential to make these a force of their own...

Lore: This card cannot be targeted by Spell Cards. During your Standby Phase, you must move this card to an empty Monster Card Zone or Spell & Trap Card Zone. If you cannot, this card is destroyed. While this card is face-up in a Monster Card Zone, all LIGHT Monsters you control gain 200 ATK. While this card is face-up in a Spell & Trap Card Zone, all LIGHT monsters you control are unaffected by Spell Cards.

Lore: This card cannot be targeted by Spell Cards. During your Standby Phase, you must move this card to an empty Monster Card Zone or Spell & Trap Card Zone. If you cannot, this card is destroyed. While this card is face-up in a Monster Card Zone, all EARTH monsters you control gain 400 DEF. While this card is face-up in a Spell & Trap Card Zone, you can change the battle position of 1 of your monsters once per turn.
Digital Monsters
No I don't. These are a lot scarier (i hope ;) ). Digital monsters are like viruses that invade your opponent's Deck and corrupt their plans from within, 'Parasite Paracide' style.

Lore: When this card is summoned successfully, place it in your opponent's Deck (the Deck is then shuffled). When your opponent draws this card, they can reveal it to inflict 1000 points of Damage to your Life Points. While this card exists in your opponent's Deck, negate the effects of your opponent's Continuous Spell and Trap Cards.

Lore: When this card is summoned successfully, place it in your opponent's Deck (the Deck is then shuffled). When your opponent draws this card, they can reveal it to destroy all face-up cards on your side of the field. This card is then removed from play. While this card exists in your opponent's Deck, each time your opponent Special Summons a monster, remove the monster from play.
What do you think?

it may be just me, but i don't really care for the "Energy Monsters", don't get me wrong, they are good but your Digital Monsters and Morph Monsters are better, i'd like to see more of them
8/10

I would like to see more of the Morph and Digital monsters as well. Mind if I try and make one and PM the card to you ? (: If not, that's cool.

NEW cards added to each section.

Found the pic for Hack in Doom's archive, and thought he looked a bit like the main baddie in the PS2 game HACK: Infection - who was a stream of corrupt data himself. I loved that game, so that card is a doff of the cap to the game. The effect isn't really much like the character, who's key effects were being indestructible and putting people playing the game in comas, but couldn't really get those concepts to fit.

Clearly these have not proved too popular. :(

Just bumping to ask for an opinion on whether it's worth me making an Energy archtype, as I have more ideas for the development of that type than the other 2. This would baiscially involve the smaller 'Pure' energies (like those above) being converted via a continuous trap card into a focused and powerful 'Forced' state.

Will carry on all 3 if this bump somehow opens a flurry of comments, but can't think of anything new to do with Morphs, and the Digital would be similar lockdown from within effects that would be pretty unplayable as 1 deck type.
