EFFECTIVE? Are you kidding me? This card is useless you waste a monster to bring it out for what? A monster that could potentially be weaker than the monster you Tributed?

Okay I'm not going to be completely negative on this card but there is a lot of work that needs to be done to make it decent.

The image you have is about the only thing I see that's good about this card so we'll keep it as it is.

Secondly the name, "The Black Widow" doesn't make too much sense with the picture here as it is obviously a witch/sorceror/mage etc so you could use those words in the name instead of "Widow".

As said before the effect is horrible for anyone to even consider putting it in their decks, I suggest adding something that people would want to use in their decks such as a Special Summon, Negate, Destroy effects. Those kind of effects are much more useful than decreasing a 2900 beaters ATK.

Speaking of ATK I suggest lowering it down to the 2000-2500 range if you add in a powerful Special Summon & Negate effect to it this balances it out a little better.

- That's about all that I can think of for now hopefully you'll take this advice and make the card more useful.

WRONG. It makes perfect sense. More sense than your arguement. She's black (magic), and perhaps she's a widow. So there is absolutely nothing wrong with the name. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean that it's bad or wrong.
