Remove from play up to 3 Effect Monsters in your Graveyard, and Special Summon 1 "Sword Token" (Warrior-Type/WATER/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) in Defense Position. For each monster you removed, place 1 Safeguard Counter on the "Sword Token". As long as their is a Safeguard Counter on your field, your opponent cannot declare an attack. During each of your Standby Phases, remove 1 Safeguard Counter from a "Sword Token" you control. I'm not sure if the OCG is correct; I used existing cards to base it, but I may have messed up.
Jaime Duferier
This is the best card I have seen that was made by a new member. How about making it a continuos trap?

GenesisMaverick
[MARK A] 7.7/10 Already a card but I like it. I might like to take out the "Remove up to 3 effect monsters", cause you may want to remove vanillas - some decks do use mostly vanillas, custom decks though, not structures - and it removes restrictions. Apart from that it is quite a good card, swords of revealing light turned Trap Monster - which is what you may want to do. You might want to look at "Metal Reflect Slime". Oh and one last thing, change the name. Last Resort is already a card, for Crystal Beasts.
Ieyasu Tokugawa
It's stronger than Swords because you can activate it during your opponent's turn, but weaker because you have to remove monsters for its effect and you need to keep the token on the field. I'd say Special Summon the token then put the counters on any cards you control, and I'd change the direct attack requirement to if your opponent destroys a monster you control. Still, a lot better than the many new members I see here.
[MARK A] 7.7/10 Already a card but I like it. I don't want it to be a Continuous Trap Card, because then it would have to stay on the field, which would almost defeat the purpose. The "Last Resort" aspect of it is like the last move you can; it's a "last ditch effort".
It's stronger than Swords because you can activate it during your opponent's turn, but weaker because you have to remove monsters for its effect and you need to keep the token on the field. It's balanced in that respect. The whole purpose of it being a "direct attack" is like, to save you if you're about to lose, kind of thing. Thanks! I didn't remember that Last Resort was already a card. I wasn't sure. Still, I like the name and I think it kind of fits. Plus, who uses Last Resort anyway?
