”And now presenting, the reigning Hoenn League Champion, Seth Faaaaarley!”

A sudden outpour of pyrotechnic smoke billowed from the tunnel’s gaping maw, and out from its depths strolled a bespectacled teenager with static-raised white hair. He was completely adorned for his tournament appearance, donning an electric blue cape over a black vest, long white pants, and a black top hat. His glasses glinted as he swept off his headgear in a show of appreciation for the audience. They were all screaming his name. Girls swooned as he confidently stepped up onto the stage to face his challenger. Bloodthirsty males in the front row let their testosterone speak as they hurled encouraging words at their hero and inspiration.

“Toast his ass, Seth!”

“Show him who’s boss!”

“Get up, damn it!”

Seth frowned at the last comment, and looked for its source. However, flashbulbs and people clamoring to get a closer look at the idol obscured his vision.

“Seth… get… up…!”

The pale Champion let out a yell as the floor seemed to drop out from beneath him, the arena and his adoring fans vanishing from view as he fell.

WHAM.

Seth Farley woke up in a tangle of bed sheets, his limbs sticking out at awkward angles as he lay spread-eagled on the floor. His alarm clock was blaring updates on the Oak and Mary Show, and he moved quickly to turn it off.

The beleaguered trainer rubbed his eyes and stared out at the rising Hoenn sun, its rays vaporizing the last of his dream.

Well, it was fun while it lasted.

“Seth, did you just get up?” his mother screeched from downstairs, banging pots and pans together in an early morning symphony.

”Get up, Seth! Get up!” mimicked the family Chatot.

The tired teenager rolled his crusty eyes. He needed to buy a muzzle for that thing.

“Coming….”

Rustboro City, 0630 hours

She zipped across the deserted streets, her dark purple uniform clinging tightly to her curves. A hood obscured her facial features, and her boots thudded against the pavement.
Fleet-footed and quick, the strange woman made sure no one could see her powerful figure in Hoenn’s vanishing darkness. She was on a mission, and nobody was about to stop her. Gingerly fingering the six PokeBalls on her belt, the woman made a dash for it again, this time ducking around the Rustboro Gym. In her haste, the violet hood she was wearing slipped down onto her slender shoulders, revealing pale skin, a smirking mouth, raven-colored hair all in a bun, and piercing red eyes.

Quickly cinching her disguise back up, the female whirled around in alarm. The Gym janitor had been making his rounds, and now he stood open-mouthed before her perplexing figure. His eyes widened in terror as he recognized the insignia on the woman’s uniform.

By then, there was no escape. The lady in uniform grinned as she quickly rushed the unfortunate victim, wrapping an arm around his neck.

Her smile widened as the janitor let out a silent scream into her gloved hand, which was clapped tightly around his mouth. He struggled, but the combat training that the woman had been given was paying dividends. She reached for her belt, but her hand glided right over her captive Pokemon. Instead, she unsheathed a shining dagger.

The mysterious assaulter looked down bemusedly at her captive victim, who was still managing to put up a fight. His eyes widened as she tested her blade nonchalantly on her finger. The janitor struggled with renewed fervor as the uniformed attacker lowered her weapon to his fleshy throat.

“I’m not sure you can keep a secret, so…”

The woman’s face lit up as she flicked her wrist.

“… I’ll just have to make sure you never speak again.”

The janitor let out a feeble gurgle as he was dropped to the ground, his throat slit. After a quick wipe-off of her dagger, the assailant was off like a shot.
She was headed towards the Devon Building.

Rustboro Training Academy, 0700 hours

“Hey, Snowball!”

A pencil nailed Seth Farley in the head as he made the treacherous journey to his homeroom class. To his classmates, every day was Beat on Seth Day, Make Seth Miserable Day, or something along those lines. Looking over the top of his rounded glasses, he could see Kai and his gang sneering at in his general direction, Kai’s arm was cocked with another bullet of wood and graphite, his orange hair and built body contrasting sharply with the brown dreariness of the academy.

As expected, another pencil caught Seth in the temple, knocking his glasses askew. He could tell by Kai’s guffawing that his shot had been a complete success.

“Hey, Snowball!”

Seth groaned inwardly as he turned to face his archenemy, fingering his pale hair self-consciously.

“What?”

“Pokemon battle after school? Come on… my Larvitar evolved!”

Seth rolled his eyes at Kai’s teasing tone. “You know we’re not supposed to use our Pokemon outside of school…”

He turned and ran towards the merciful light of homeroom as Orange Hair and his gang imitated him in their patented “sissy baby voices”.

Devon Corporation, 0715 hours

The receptionist at the Devon Corportion front desk prepared her usual customary welcome as she saw a strange woman stroll into the facility.

Weirdo. Who dresses in all purple anymore? she thought, eyeing the female while applying her lipstick.

She looked up in surprise as the uniformed stranger walked right past her.

“Excuse me…!” the irked receptionist yelled. “Do you have an appointment?”

A low chuckle was the last sound that the Devon employee would hear.

“Oh geez. Did Kai get you again?”

Seth nodded forlornly as Aurora Masawa gently patted a growing welt on the back of his head. Her kind, caring eyes looked sadly at the shy boy before her, her light-blue hair cascading sloppily down her shoulders.

“It’s not that bad, Aurora. Really.” Seth tried to assure one of his only friends, but got a scowl in return.

“You say that every time, Seth-kun. I really think you should do something about Kai and his friends…” She laid a pale hand on Seth’s shoulder, as if to shock him into action.
Trying not to blush, Seth looked at the clock.

“Don’t worry about me, ‘Rora. I’ll take it one day at a time until term ends.”

His friend could only shake her head sadly, as she trudged back to her desk.

Devon Corporation, 0720 hours

She leapt from room to room, touching the floors of the corridors as if they were made of live coals. The assailant ruthlessly slew anybody who crossed her path. By the time she had reached her destination at the end of the main hall, ten bodies were the death count. They had all died painful and silent deaths, some slower than others. The woman found immense enjoyment in her work.

Sliding a pilfered Key Card into the lock on the door, the merciless killer slipped seamlessly into a room she was not allowed into. The looks on the faces of three scientists in that area confirmed this, as she took the dagger to all but one of their surprised throats. She stabbed the last lab rat in the leg and held him close while she gathered what she was assigned to retrieve. She snatched up an odd, rotating device on the table, her raven hair flying free of its hood. Tucking the object under her other arm like a football, the powerful lady started to drag the protesting scientist down the corridors of Devon.

They got as far as the main lobby.

There was a resounding click as several members of the Rustboro police force loaded their guns, their death sticks leveled on one target.

The woman held up her hands in mock surrender, letting three PokeBalls drop from her hands as she did so.

“Y-you’re not allowed to do that…!” the scientist exclaimed, as he tried to scramble away from his abductor. However, the woman’s gloved hand wrapped around his ankle as two Koffing and an Abra materialized in flashes of red light.

“Do you know who the hell I work for?” she hissed, her acidic voice rebounding in the huge lobby.

“No! Put away your Pokemon right now, or we shoot!” screamed one of the officers, leveling his gun at the smirking female.

“I don’t follow any of your pretty rules,” she breathed. Sitting down, she scratched her Abra between the ears, keeping her scientist in check.

“I only follow one set of rules! As Executive Venom, it is my duty to carry out the interests of Team Independent!”

The police force took a step back. “So… this is Team Independent…” someone murmured, sending a chill of nervousness through the crowd. They suddenly recognized Venom’s purple uniform and the cross-shaped insignia it held, obscured by her hood and cloak.

“Fire!”

The officers cocked their guns, but Venom was faster in her commands.

“Abra, Teleport! Koffings, Twin Explosion!”

Abra’s eyes glowed blue as the laughing executive of Team Independent disappeared in a haze, along with her hostage and Devon’s most fascinating device.
There was a massive shout from the officers as the rogue Koffings detonated, setting off alarm bells. Flaming paper and debris shattered the windows as the entire first floor of the facility was obliterated.

Venom was gone, leaving a flaming Devon Corporation in her wake, well on its way to ruin.

The hollow school bell rang, signaling a start to another dull day for pupils.

Walking beside Aurora, Seth groaned.

Just another normal day, huh?

Hope you don't quit this one.

I guess my main complaint would be the constant splitting. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if you made the parts longer.

A little nitpick, I hate the evil team name. Please do remove "Team" from it.

Off-topic: I was actually planning on making a Pokefic with a badass female character that kills a bunch of people. Coincidence? I think not!
