DNAngel Modification

This is an idea i was thinking about a while ago. Feel free to judge, but i'm mostly interested in if the effect would work properly with the OCG.

Lore: While this card is face-up on your side of the field, the field, you are treated as an attack position Normal Monster (Fairy-type/Light/Level 7/ATK 2500/DEF 2600). If you are attacked directly by an opponent's monster with a higher ATK than you, you take damage equal to the difference between your ATK and the ATK of the attacking monster.

Doesn't that just mean one MST means you lose instantly?
Umm, no. MST takes out Spells/Traps, not monsters. But i suppose i should specify what happens if the Spell is destroyed.

Edit:O.K. the card says while it's active you're treated as a monster, so i suppose that once it's gone it's effects just stop.

This kinda reminds me of the deck master system used briefly in the anime. You know, the one that never caught on.

This card makes no sense. Period.

Besides, if we're going to have duelists take the field themselves, what if I don't want to be a LIGHT Fairy-type, or my personality is better reflected by something else?

This idea is too big a minefield to traverse without having several limbs blown off.

Ps. If this card were to work, 'you' would have to be equipped with this card in 'Future Fusion' fashion. So Culux is right, one MST and you're done.

Now that i think about it, the instant death part is really unneccesary and bad. I think i should remove that part.

I suppose, but it treats you as the monster. It's a little different. It's actually closer to that one guy in the Orichalcos season with the armor cards.

Well, it is a new Rule system. I suppose it would be odd.

I was planning to make other kinds for the other types. This is just a prototype.

Except it's not an equip card. It's continuous. And MST still wouldn't work because it could only destroy DNAngel Modification, not you. You're not a spell, you're a monster.
I know it's wierd. That's why i posted it - To un-wierd it.

Please do.

I suppose, but it treats you as the monster. It's a little different. It's actually closer to that one guy in the Orichalcos season with the armor cards.

Never watched that episode. I see that's the effect, but I still don't see the point. Why on earth would I want to put myself on the field - literally, symbolically or otherwise?

Well, it is a new Rule system. I suppose it would be odd.

Technically should go in AOC then.

I was planning to make other kinds for the other types. This is just a prototype.

Fair enough.

Except it's not an equip card. It's continuous. And MST still wouldn't work because it could only destroy DNAngel Modification, not you. You're not a spell, you're a monster.

Again, Future Fusion, Call of the Haunted, etc, etc. So what happens when this card is destroyed, I hang around on the field, therefore having no link with this card? Why not just be Normal Spell then, seeing as there is no further use after summoning.

I know it's wierd. That's why i posted it - To un-wierd it.

Like i said, and the card said, it's effect only works while it's active. If it's destroyed, you simply stop being a monster. Also it's not a summoning. I think. You neve actually go on the field, you just interact like you were.
Ignoring all the complexities and details, this card basically lowers all battle damage by 2500, and i think that's a pretty good effect. And if you can attack too, bonus.

It's actually simple. All this card does is basically summon a Token. Once the card is gone, YOU DO NOT REMAIN A MONSTER. You change back into a normal duelist.

Very true. However, it does not fill a monster card zone.
