Battle Angel Ambrosia

-This card cannot be Special Summoned, this card cannot be Normal Summoned except by offering monsters as a Tribute whose total Levels equal 8 or more. Decrease the ATK and DEF of the card by the respective total ATK and DEF of the Tributed monsters. If this card destroys a monster as a result of battle, select a monster in your Graveyard used for the Normal Summon of this card and place it in your Deck.

O hai Ched.

It's below average. The decrease it's ATK and DEF part kills it IMO. Id make it level 12 for the Tributes, and get rid of the decreasing thing.

Even with that, it's still pretty much only a beatstick. Probably wouldn't see play.

And beatsticks normally aren't level 12.

I can't believe you are still here after all this time you must be running the show by now mate :P

Me and some mates whipped out the old (I mean mega old) cards recently so it was pretty much beat down and chaos control lol. That's probably why I came up with this, never going to be used I know but I needed something to get the creative juices flowing again. I think 12 would be a bit excessive nearing 4000 ATK/DEF Points n'est pas???

Well anyways you need to fill me in on anything going on :P

First of all, you should have said "This card cannot be Normal Summoned OR Special Summoned"
Even then, you should have included "Set" somewhere in there because it's possible that you do not have to Special Summon or Normal Summon this monster because you can just do it the easy way and Set the card down (summon it face down with 2 tributes). So you should have said "This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by ..." and then explain the reason.

Also, if you need to offer tributes that have to make up 8 stars, isn't this just a ritual monster then? I would probably just say make a Ritual Spell Card that corresponds with this card to tribute the material monsters.

As for the decrease of the monster's health, the ATK and DEF would be pretty darn low for a 12-starred monster. I mean, generally 4 starred monsters have 1000 ATK or more. So if you did 2 4-starred monsters as tributes, that would mean taking off an instant 2000 ATK away, leaving this card to have a pretty low ATK of 2000 or a little more (for a 12-starred monster). Or if you did one 3-starred monster and an 5-starred monster. They would severely take the ATK down.

Now when the monster is destroyed you can choose one of the material monsters from the Graveyard. I guess that is pretty neat effect.

Basically I think this not really the model monster any duelist should be working with.

My suggestions would be:

1) Trying to make this monster a Ritual Monster (just to fit in with the style of the other cards)
2) Lower the stars of this monster (because your monster would be pretty lame if it was Level 12 yet only had 3000 attack or less)
3) If you aren't going to lower the stars of this monster, at least when it is destroyed, you should be allowed to Special Summon both of the material monsters from the Graveyard to the field.

First of all, you should have said "This card cannot be Normal Summoned OR Special Summoned"Read the effect. If he says that it changes everything. And if he included "Set" it would be impossible to summon.
"This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by ..." Again this would change the effect. By saying "This card cannot be Special Summoned." You can't special summon this card at all. "This card can only be Normal Summoned by" means it must be Normal Summoned. This saves it from Solemn Warning and other cards that respond to SS. Changing it to "This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by ..." makes it targetable by that stuff.

lol?

Anyways this card is UP. Decrease is the only thing that ruins it. Everything else is fine but as Smesh said, it would still be just a Beatstick

Thanks for taking the time to give such an in-depth and seemingly informed view.

-First off I wanted this card to just be NORMAL summoned, never set never Special Summoned. You are in fact right about the OCG, so it should go a little something like this:

"This card cannot be Special Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Normal Summoned except by...."

-I made this card as an homage to the beat-down days of old (try saying that really fast) so in that sense I could never imagine it used. HOWEVER in the right deck it could be made to be quite useful as the are 4-5-even 6 star monsters with pitiful attacks and good effects. So you could use it like that but again it depends what deck it would be used in and as I have said before this wasn't made specifically for playing with

-On the ritual subject you were close but missed a subtle point....with a ritual you can sacrifice from the hand. I figured that I wouldnt have to specify wether it was from the field of hand with this card as the word "Tribute" predicates that the monster is on the field (unless stated). But correct me if i'm wrong

Again thanks for the help :P

Łövëły.....Łövëły to hear from you....you're looking Łövëły (couldn't resist sorry)

I have always wondered what does UP mean??? but as I said to smesh I was reminiscing about beatdown and I think that's what inspired me to this monstrosity lol

Ched :D you should put maybe *half* the ATK and DEF, but other than that you still got it :) 8/10
Thanks for the imput Kuri!!!

halving the ATK and DEF may work orrrrrrrr wouldn't reducing the tribute cost by half (in this case 8 would become 4) be exactly the same thing, Reducing this card's attack by the average 4 star monster would still leave it with a hell of a lot of ATK for a 1 tribute monster :S. But I see what you are driving at though
