Clair
This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned from your hand by sending 1 "Batteryman AA" from your Deck to the Graveyard. When this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, Special Summon 1 "Batteryman" monster from your Graveyard in Defense Position. Rate/hate/comment? I know the effect is simple, but I think it's useful for the archetype. Let me know what you think!
Saturn of Elemia
That's a pretty good Batteryman support card right there. It definetely can help you set up the Batteryman AA OTK if you have Battery Charger and Inferno Reckless Summon in your hand. (At least it's not being removed from play) The stats are good and it's got a nice little revival effect (although I believe that it you wouldn't be able to use IRS - but don't quote me on that). Image is just - wow. Nice find. This deserves nothing less than a 10/10 from me. Nice job, Clair!
Clair
Thanks, Saturn! I think you can use IRS with the revival effect, assuming I read the card correctly. Otherwise, I should probably get rid of that last part, lol. Also, you read my mind as to how this card would be used. xD All image credit goes to Jazin Kay. His archive is awesomely awesome. <3 Thank you for commenting. I'm flattered. :D
Althemia
Personally, I find it being destroyed by battle a little bit too slow. No-one's going to bother attacking it, they're just gonna drop D-Hole/Smashing/Vortex or something on it. But uhm... The first effect's somewhat useful. Free Foolish for Batterymen. Little bit too slow how it is. Nice try, though.
-Griffin
IRS doesn't work with this. I'm indifferent. What I feel they need is a solid level 4 or lower, but the ease of SSing this one makes it pretty close to being the same. I don't feel they need something that Special Summons itself, though, since they have enough of that already. A solid one-for-one removal card somewhat akin to Exiled or Snowman Eater would probably fit them better. I can see this being too much of an OTK.
No-one's going to bother attacking it, they're just gonna drop D-Hole/Smashing/Vortex or something on it.
Those aren't really used this format, FYI. This format, Black Rose and Scrap Dragon are more likely - or the retrained Hand of the Six Sam since those are soon going to be a big part of the meta.
I have seen people say that Hand of the Six Samurai is not needed in Six Sams anymore due to a new card they released will outclass it. In my opinion, this card would be good for Batteryman as it can run over every almost every Level 4 in the game. The only time I see this card having a bad match up is against Gravekeepers because it can't run over defense position Spies.
CDDRodrigo
It adds a lot to the Batteryman deck, nice support card. OCG's good and so is the art and the name. 7,5/

retrained Hand of the Six Sam
Anyway, to keep this post productive, let me quote from my thread in Written Cards:
Why do you think Soltaire is not played at parties? If you have four people sitting around a table with four decks of playing cards, it's unusual that they decide to play Soltaire. Generally, when you're with another person and playing games, it's more enjoyable to play a game where you're interacting with them. This also means that it's generally not as fun in Yugioh to play a game where the opponent's actions don't influence you at all. Exodia is an example of breaking this game design guideline in the extreme. When playing an Exodia Deck (based around drawing, not stalling) you might as well be playing with yourself - very rarely does your opponent interact with your Deck at all. It's just "who gets out a win first" rather than "who gets out a win WHILE PREVENTING an opponent's win". This is also generally the reason OTKs and FTKs are bad for the game - they're one-player things. Chances are that most players wouldn't say a game was 'bad' if it ended on the first turn, but they were somehow able to play half their Deck through various card effects and there was plenty of back-and-forth.
Which is why OTKs are bad and I don't like this card since the fact it Summons itself so easily in a Deck which already OTKs quite often seems to only promote that making it bad card design. Clair
I can see how this card would be a bit too easy to Summon in a deck that already has surefire ways to OTK, so sorry about that. I just thought that Batterymen could use some support to push them over the top, but I see now that this card has weaknesses (I thought its revival effect could work with IRS), and a certain amount of cheapness (further OTK support). Thanks for the constructive comments, everyone. I need to get back into this game more. xD
