Could Shapeshifting on a genetic level be possible, and if so how, and/or what would you like to turn into.

It could very well be possible. Perhaps by an alteration of DNA while your still alive could somehow alter your physical appearance. But then again, that would most likely cause cancer.

I think it's theoretically possible, but not actually possible.

Loldoubleaccount.

I don't know, if you ran me through your thought process which led you to beleive this then maybe I could give my opinion, I'm not the science type without backup, otherwise I think you just have a double account to back yourself up and you're just trying to sound smart without giving your theory. .-.

Not to mention better aliens in sci-fi TV shows would be possible, if we could figure out how to shapeshift people on a genetic level.

No, it is unlikely that it is possible at all, and almost certainly will not exist during your lifetime. We are having trouble replacing single disease-causing genes at the moment, large scale remapping of the genome is long, long ways off.
