Well all you yugioh fans, it is time to take a look at my formiddable deck filled with monsters that are difficult to get onto the field, but also can definitely kick buttocks when they are put on the field
i'll place the pic of the card and write out the effect for you, and add my own comment on why i feel the card is appropriate.
enjoy looking, rate them please, and give me any tips that i may need to make this set even better

I'll start you with all the monsters in my extra deck. the most powerful monsters of this set

this monster i came up with as an early game synchro as to get yourself more cards to further your strategy early in the game

this monster i came up with one day while watching the history channel. all of the other horsemen are here as well, and their effects are easily explainable. this one: horseman of famine, i made it so your opponent cannot use a card to boost their stats. clever i think so

pale horseman: horseman of death, effect is self explanatory. not the best monster to play but you'll see why you'll need him later ;)

probably the most popular synchro in this set, the red horseman is the horseman of war, so i made it the opposite of the white horseman because you'll see why next

the horseman of civil war, you can see how the effect fits and how i made the red horseman's effect the way it is

Earth Dragon of the Apocalypse * Dark Dragon of the Apocalypse * Light Dragon of the Apocalypse *
This monster can only be summoned with the above fusion material monsters and polymerization. Once this card is summoned, remove the three dragons of the Apocalypse from play. It is not affected by any opponent's trap, spell, or monster's effects. This monster may be removed from play to bring back up to 3 "of the Apocalypse" monsters from the graveyard, to the field. If it is sacrificed in this way you may bring it back from out of play when the three monsters are destroyed. If this monster is destroyed, it is removed from play or you may sacrifice 5 monsters from your hand and field to keep this monster on the feild. If it is removed from play as a result of battle, you may special summon one "of the Apocalypse" monster to the field from the graveyard.
this monster is totally kick-ass considering the effect and its stats. difficult to get on the field, but totally worth the wait in the mid-game playing

"White Horseman of the Apocalypse" * "Red Horseman of the Apocalypse" * "Black Horseman of the Apocalypse" * "Pale Horseman of the Apocalypse"
This monster can only be fusion summoned using the above fusion material monsters. This monster is unaffected by the effects of all spell, trap, and monster cards. Your opponent may not use a field magic card; monsters on the owner's side of the field lose 500 ATK and DEF points; monsters on your opponent's side of the field lose 500 ATK and DEF points; during the end phase of your turn you must destroy one card on your side of the field and on your opponent's side of the field.
this is why you need all four horseman of the apocalypse... probably the hardest monster to put on the field in the game, but completely worth it as it combines the four effects, and adds that it cannot be effected by any effects. definitely the best monster you could possibly play in this deck.. the problem?... too hard to get onto the field

2 "of the Apocalypse" Tuners + 1 or more "of the Apocalypse" non-Tuners
This monster is not affected by your opponent's magic, trap, and monster's effects. For every magic card in your graveyard, this monster gains 300 DEF points. For every trap card in your graveyard, this monster gains 300 ATK points. If special summoned from the graveyard, all monsters on your side of the field are not affected by your opponent's spell, trap, and monster card effects. You may discard one card from your hand to destroy two cards your opponent controls. You can only use this effect once per turn. When you use this effect you must skip your next main phase 1. When this monster is destroyed in battle, remove it from play. It may not be brought back from out of play by any other effect.
definitely the best possible monster to play late in the game. this is designed to make you win the game if you have alot of cards in your graveyard. but costly effects AND a high price to pay to summon it

this card is used to summon a monster with a pretty good effect and good stats (max 5400) but hey, can't make all monster's too powerful am i right

i still don't know if you must put the effect of the ritual card on the ritual monster but unless i'm told otherwise i'm not going to waste my time typing it out again.

great idea for a monster (soon to be revealed). i think its a good pic along with an appropriate price for the appropriate monster

i designed this monster to be like the dark magician knight, because i felt that most would use the polymerization to make the two previous showcased monsters instead of this one, so i think this was a good mid-line between ritual summon and fusion summon

i made this last second cuz i thought i'd need another weak tuner >_> but i gave him a great effect that'll help get powerful monsters on the field. so not bad

an ordinary monster that i just recently made useful, lol. he's pretty decent but not impressive

i based the effect on the radiation of the mutant and how it would effect other monsters. another tuner yes, we need to get the horsemen on the field somehow! hahaha

a monster designed to annoy your opponent. yet another tuner... not much else to say other than i don't have many low-level monsters in the deck :/ can easily be fixed by generic monsters such as annoying darkworld monsters or various other effect monsters.

a monster designed for the late-game wins. easy to counter with a shield-and-sword effect but very powerful if utilized correctly

I don't have that much time, but I don't like to go back on promises, so I'll say general good/bad points, in my opinion anyway:

Good points:

-Some really cool & creative effects, most notably:

baby dragon
zombies
champion
Survivor shelter
demon sword

-I like how the effects seem to work fairly well with each other
- Most of the cards are quite balanced.

Bad points:

- Its easy to understand, but the OCG is very poor, just take a look at pre-existing cards for guidance if you don't know how to phrase things.
- some of the pictures could be better
- some cards aren't so well balanced, as a set, there are too many tuners with focus on synchros and fusions, with practically no useful low level monsters, I think you need some good effect monsters to get out first, instead of relying on getting your high ones out so soon, which is hard to do
- 'spirit' hmm, Inventing your own type isn't a good idea, I find .;)


As to address the synchros and fusions, the effects are mostly good, but not very creative, and some are quite underpowered (i.e white horseman)

you also have the odd madly overpowered card, like the beasts of the apolcalyse.
Its hard to make a balanced set, though.

Overall, given that its one of your first (I assume? ) Its not too bad, but it needs work, just look at pre-existing cards, try and get OCG, balance and inspiration in their! How are you supposed to get those synchros out when the few non tuners you have will take a while to draw? even with the dragon enchanters help.

But well done, any set takes dedication.

Also, I think its more the fact that not many people bother looking at finished sets anymore than interest for this one, people just cant be bothered to look half the time, which is majorly sad.. people in this section often put the most work in and get the least comments as a reward..

I'm currently doing one, well actually 4 because I'm using the 4 horsemen as the boss or the ace monster of the deck but yeah back to yours.


Here's the positive part of your deck/set:
Looking at it at first glance, it look pretty quite balance. Unlike most of the new members that keep posting their card here, yours looks and act as a real set which is better that half the things posted here nowadays. The main strong point for this deck is that it have a lot of tuner so it makes thing easy enough to summon the big bad synchro monster and get's the upper hand. Also, most of the effect works well with each other like an archetypes so making a good strategy would be easy I guess.

Here's the negative part of your deck/set:
What seem to be good at first glance always look bad afterwards. Even though the card's effect is pretty easy to undertsand, the ocg is still pretty poor as there are a lot of ocg error. Some cards are just to underpowered while some are op(over powered). Also, never invent your own type since the finish set section is for the realistic cards are are meant to be realistic finish sets.

you should just post the lore instead but don't think this is really that relevant. Meanwhile, some of the pictures are just seem off cause some of them look to cute and not intimidate at all but be something out of an Apocalypse.

so...rating this.... I'll give it a 6.5/10 if this is your first set but if this is not, then it's a 4.5 or 5/10.

and yeah, it's not that people hate or not interested in an Apocalypse set but it's because since last december 2010, a lot of new members post their card on the finish set section and keep on posting. Much are just to bad so we just fled this section.

well yes this is indeed my first set, i thought the ocg was good cuz i looked at the rules for ocg and followed them as best as i could, i understand that i made too many powerful monsters so thanks for that tip, yes i do indeed more weak monsters which is something i'll do for future decks, and as for the pics i just did as best as i could
as for the effects i thought they were creative but i guess not :/ lol, well thanks for the feedback, i'll try to make future sets more creative and ingenious

i also didn't mean to make up the spirit type because i thought it was an already existing type, sorry about that XP

As to guide you a bit further (I'm not being negative, just telling you how to get better).

For pictures, look at a site called deviantart, they have some good art.

The fact of the matter is, OCG improves with time, you can't absorb everything straight away, but use other cards as a guide. For example, if your making a monster that still inflicts battle damage to an opponents monster when its in defense position. Instead of second guessing how to say that, look up a yugioh card with that effect already.

Some are your cards are creative, but not mega creative, just think outside of the box sometimes thats all. ;)

I'd just change spirit to fiend or something. :D

oh, that unfortunate! well you can try the showcase section cause there's a lot of card image gallery. Also, you can check out devianart, where most good art/image/picture are to be found or if your too lazy to do that, go and rip some cool looking duel master cards and just use em.
and you'll probably be unsatisfied for me to just comment without reviewing your set/deck so here I go...

pros
-Most set made by newbies seem bland, dull and doesn't connect with each other, meanwhile yours does. Some effect are great, helpful and really are playable in real life. Most of the support really help and they are balance.

cons
-While most of the effect work well and are quite balance, so are very Underpowered and a few are op though that's what new member seem to do. The effect is understandable but it still have some bad ocg but you can learn them. When a card is a tuner, you should put Tuner instead of Effect. The pics are well...I won't comment on the pics haven't find a good site to find good pics so yeah...

overall, I'll give the a 6 or 6.5/10

As everyone else has said, for your first time, the set isn't bad at all.
And I really don't want to repeat the other people who have commented so OCG, pictures and balance needs fixing.
The ability to think creatively and out the box really does come with time so don't let the negative feedback bring you down.

you mean instead of making it Warrior / Tuner / Effect just to make it Warrior / Tuner? because i know some cards that are normal monsters and tuners and other tuners that are also effect monsters as well as tuners that have effects but don't say "effect" in the description.

if you see a Tuner card, it would be Warrior/Tuner, just like a union card Warrior/Union. So yeah, I just+rep you in my set so check out the comment

I can see why religion is so popular, with such cool themes as angels, archangels, devils, demons, the Apocalypse, etc., though I find these kinds of themes really outdated. Even so, the pictures you found are relatively good, although I have seen some of them on a lot of places. The deck isn't very balanced if you ask me, there are too many high-level monsters, but I suppose that is to compensate their overly strong effects. A lot of OCG errors as well. Overall, if I must be honest, in my opinion, the playability isn't competitive.

a monster designed to annoy your opponent. yet another tuner... not much else to say other than i don't have many low-level monsters in the deck :/ can easily be fixed by generic monsters such as annoying darkworld monsters or various other effect monsters.
