Fail logic is fail

No. It was supposed to prove that Christianity was formed around Christ's death, and Satanism came before, but as evidence-wise Christ is non-existant, it can be classed invalid.

But even if you can prove Christ existed, that doesn't prove Satanism predated him in any way, shape, or form. That's a complete non sequitor.

When have Christians ever been known to ask intelligent questions? I was not shocked a bit by the first post, I really wasn't.

Is this example of fail logic?

Religion =/= intelligence.

Every religion has idiots and douches

and even a-religion or beliefs have idiots and douches. If you believe all Christians are God-fearing idiots aren't you being hypocritical :V "They're idiots for not believing in what I believe."

@Shion Kato +rep.

Also one last thing pertaining to original OP and summer camps. Summer camps generally have bad food but besides the point if you're in the church or in a summer camp and they ask you to pray or etc.. Unless you consider it morally degrading, it's physically/mentally bad for you, or you find it weird(like singing) than don't do it. However you can't blame them for looking at you weird; it's like going to someone's home and they ask you "take off your shoes please." and you just continue on walking. I mean they might get over it and to most it's not a big deal but to some it's just insulting. That's why I don't like the idea of people forcing their children into church.

Yes I have been asked that. And I simply reply with, "I may not believe in God or Satan but one thing is true; I believe in you". They often smile and appreciate it.

Oh I'm an atheist

DERP you're a satanist

no, I'm atheist

DERP you hate god

no, I don't believe in god

People have a pre- conceived notion that all athiests want to convert Christians.

doesn't help that a lot do. Most atheist in general ARE ***holes and feel self entitled to everything. Granted most of these aren't really atheist but people that don't wan to go to church or want to rebel.

Really, most atheists are a******s who feel self entitled? Please prove that the majority is that way before making such statements.

should of worded it better as ones I've met but it's not something secret. Pretty sure we all met those elitist atheist just as much as we meet elitist Christians. Whenever a religion is mentioned it's usually them going "hah! I'm atheist you guys are all bunch of idiots believing in that." or trying so hard "Why do you guys even believe in the bible it's stupid" and while they make fun of Christians converting people they love to tell the same christians "Stop believing in that and turn to science and realize God's not real!"

also how come I have to proof my statement when everyone's been bashing Christianity the entire time and I bash Atheists and I get negged and called to question lol. Oh well but yeah I can't prove it but I do live in New Jersey where about 85% of the people are atheist including myself(not true, I'm agnostic) and elitist atheist are just as annoying as the elitist Christians only difference is atheists don't go door to door(Christians are not suppose to either but meh).

EDIT: Wait I found some proof.

We have this billboard where I live. It was funded by a national atheist society. I found it hilarious, but come on this is messed up. Especially since it was put during the christmas season.

No, because you see atheists are the smartest people in the world, having figured out basic logic, they have evolved past religious people and become superior in every way. That is why they are allowed to say whatever they want, because they are always right, and everyone else has to think the same way, because it's all based on factual evidence that they are too intelligent to have to present.

Right,

> Being an atheist means you don't beleive in God not that you're a satanist or hate God.

> People say this to all previous posters many times.

> This thread is essentially a religious thread which if I'm right is against the rules.

> Now someone is going to say "No, I do believe the intention of this thread was to discuss idiotic statements very much so".

> All that has been discussed so far is God and your atheist beleifs.

> According to all Christian folk back home in Canada I'm going to hell.

> I have now summed up this thread.

> You have wasted your time reading this.

*Walks out*

this...is a joke right?...

Assuming it's not. Atheist(rather scientists, not atheist) has never dis-proven God. At the same time Christians have never proved God. So all in all it's up to opinions. I'm agnostic, I personally believed there may have been a Jesus Christ but is most likely simply a normal guy who rumors blew out of proportion and the bible is all made up myths to keep people occupied or to set morals at the time. I also believe there is a God not of the bible or any religion per say but a God that created the beginning of the world which science than proceeded to explain from there on(Big Bang, String Theory, etc.. have at you.)

However that's my opinion, these are all opinions. If you feel that your opinion should be adhered and everyone should follow everything you do, than you are the kind of people I'm talking about lol.

but pretty much as the guy above me said "lolol religion thread; please close."

No.

Tho I believe that when you die you become a pokemon trainer :3

I believe everyone's going to Hell. Go sinning!

Hmm, here's a peculiar question for all you people out there that is secular. Yay secularism!

If church and state are separate, why do people debate it's un-Christian for gays to marry when trying to keep gay marriage laws from being passed?

This also brings to mind a senator who ran in Arkansas (commercials played in Memphis :P) saying that he was both pro-life and pro-death penalty. So how does that work?

Memphis is one of the highest crime-rated cities in the United States (third, right behind St. Louis and Detroit), yet we still have the highest population in our state.

There was a legitimate study conducted that intelligence was inversely related with religious beliefs. That is to say, the more one lacks religious beliefs, on average, the smarter one is.

It had a citation in The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins, so I'll try to find it for y'all.

On average cannot be stressed enough. Yet for some reason, from what I'm seeing is that the smarter people tend to be religious in some way.

that's because most Christians are scientist. The more religious people tend to become the more they want to learn about the universe their 'God' made.
