Psycho Shocker Android Posted January 7, 2011 Report Share Posted January 7, 2011 Yes I'm back after a long hiatus. Had to stop playing for a while because of school and work. I recently started going to locals again during winter break. It was hard at first, I was making so many mistakes and I had to learn to play with the new cards around. So here's how my day at the wii tournament went. Woke up at 1 p.m. (yeah I know it's late), met up with my friends and we went at Face to Face for the wii tournament. This was the 2nd week in a row that they were doing this and the week before I played like crap so I really wanted to redeem myself for my god-awful performance. We get there at 3 p.m. I decide to play the same deck as last week but with some minor modifications to the main deck and an improved side deck. I show it to someone I know who's not playing and he tells me it's trash and the side will kill me. I ignore him, tournament starts. Round 1 PSA (zombies) vs Leo (Limiter Removal FTW!) Yeah I know Zombies is so last year, but I stopped playing and this is what I have. -G1- So I'm up against Machina 1st game is rough, I lose CA fast. At some point I could have OTK him but he had 2 backrows I start with DAD and hit a BTH, I'm scared the 2nd is book of moon so I do nothing (could have went with brionac here). Next turn I see it's a bluff smashing ground. He kills my set up, I know I lost but I squeeze a colossal in hope to buy some time but 2 turns later he gets another smash. -G2- He starts with gadgets but tomatoes and turtle are better. He finally gets a gearframe but I warning. He's forced to drop his fortress just to defend I enemy controller to take it FTW. -G3- This one goes to time, should have scooped the 1st game. He sp summons 2 fortress, damages me with 1, I drop gorz. Next turn, tribute for caius only managing to deal 200 back. He sets a monster it's reaper I lose. (I learned he mains it, who the F plays reaper in Machina.) 0-1 Round 2 PSA (zombies) vs Giovanni (viridian city gym leader) -G1- He solemns prematurly but he manages to get good CA out of it. Too bad CA doesn't save you from Brionac and Goyo. -G2- I caius an emmersblade, he comes back with with boggartknight and faultroll but emptied his resources doing so. I remove mezuki to bring back goblin and got BRD out with gale. he never came back after. Funny how sabers are Earth monsters and they were piloted by a guy named Giovanni. 1-1 Round 3 PSA (zombies) vs Chris NG (DebuHime) -G1- He mills awfully. He drew dandys while milling debris with ryko. He still manages to PoA and finds nothing. Meanwhile things are going well for me I get to a 3rd dark and DAD resolves. He takes a BOM but I have warning and judgment to back him up. It's sad he finally drew a debris just to hit a warning and DAD was enough to kill him. -G2- I open with DAD but only a tomato to go with it. I try to kill a trooper but he has prison so I'm forced to book it. I think he knows I have DAD and he waited to kill tomato with ryko. I draw a mezuki, then a goblin, that I use to get zombie master to try and get that DAD going while dealing with fluff tokens. But he has double crow and PoA to shuffle them back. At that point I take some time to examine my situation. I have +1 on him but it's a dead card and I was dominating the board. So I decide to forget DAD and continue with caius hitting his 2nd dandy he BTH. I Starlight Road a BRD and he's left with nothing on board but 5 cards in hand. I finally draw Burial and manage to play DAD playing around d.d. crow with zombie tricks and that's enough damage for game. 2-1 Round 4 PSA (zombies) vs Patrick (LS) -G1- He gets to the bottom of his deck and has to find a way to kill me or lose via deck out, he recharges draw plague and necro gardna mills the 2nd JD. I win. -G2- I warning a Lumina he reborns it. Ugh. Gets garoth going for +1 while milling wulf. Kills me with Celestia for my backrows + JD FTW. -G3- He recharges into nothing. He plays all out in hope that I don't have dark hole. I trunade and gale into BRD. He keeps playing but I win with Revived King Ha Des beat down. 3-1 Round 5 PSA (zombies) vs Frank (GB) He's 2-2 and he's my friend so I get the win. It's one of my worst match up and I probably would have lost. 4-1 [spoiler=TOP 8] James Neuman - Chaos Plants Bobby Barone - GB Leo - Machinas Karim Ahamjik - Infernity PSA - Zombies Simon Phoenics - GK Nicky Lacaille - Big Fish Yann - BW [/spoiler] Top 8 PSA (zombies) vs Karim Ahamjik (Infernities) -G1- He gets to do the Handless combo with stygian street patrol. -G2- He tries to beat me down with stygian sergeants but loads my grave twice as fast doing so. I warning his infernity mirage. I trunade then kill via zombie master, brionac, goyo. -G3- I open double kycoo, effect veiler, tragoedia, solemn warning. He starts grepher dumps necromancer for archfiend, set 1. I kycoo him for 100 removing his stuff. He calls in the end phase. Dumps both infernities back with grepher and summons avenger synchs for catastor. I warning. He reborns archfiend suicide into kycoo. I draw crow, summon my 2nd kycoo remove archfiend and necromancer. He scoops. He had mirage left in hand. 5-1 Top 4 PSA (zombies) vs Simon Phoenics (GK) -G1- I have 11 dead cards in the main deck what am I supposed to do. -G2- I side 9 cards. I decide that the game plan is to kill everything. Warning, Warning, Judgment on stele and beatdown with tomatoes + mezuki FTW. -G3- He minuses himself with his royal tribute only hitting caius. He stele his GKs back I know all of his cards and he does mine too. He has NoC, necrovalley, GK commandant, GK descendant vs my MST, monster reborn, solemn warning and book of moon. I MST necrovalley, reborn caius. Beat him down with caius for the rest of the game. 6-1 Top 2 PSA (zombies) vs James Neumann (Chaos Plants) It's late (near 11 pm), we split each getting 125$ in credit. Since the store kept the wii there's going to be another tournament for that soon . Top 8 was sick 8 different decks and a lot of good players. I only have glads(no warnings ftl) haha and I got a regionals to go to in a month. Will have no tournys before that I can prepare with, as I still work.
