chedbonlahor
I have always wanted to do this, what do you think? *** EDITED*** : You must pay 700 Life Points to activate this card. Pick up 1 card and place it face-up (away from the field,) your opponent then picks up a card and places it face-up on top of your card. Repeat this process until either 2 Monster, Spell or Trap Cards are revealed consecutively. The first player to declare “Snap” when either 2 Monster, Spell or Trap Cards are revealed consecutively, can either set or activate the last card revealed if it is a Spell or Trap Card, or Special Summon the last card revealed if it is a monster (all other cards are removed from play respectively.) If a player declares “Snap” at the wrong time, discard 1 card from their hand, if both players declare “Snap” at the same time, remove all cards revealed from play respectively and inflict 1000 to both players. When 2 monsters have been revealed successfully, the first player to declare "Snap" must Special Summon the last monster revealed, all other cards are removed from play respectively.
Like you said, the OCG is off. This is an interesting idea, but 700 Life Points is too little---you can easily force your opponent out of cards. It also might be hard to tell who said "snap" first. But I commend you on the originality! I would do "You must pay half your Life Points to activate this card." I played snap before and with a deft, quick hand, you can keep the game going for a long time. Also, I think you should include what happens when someone yells snap at the wrong time---perhaps there should be a penalty.
It's hard enough to word as it is because it's not a conventional YGO card with conventional OCG. In fact (I never normally ask for help.......***grumble***) if there are any TOP OCG experts who want to help with the OCG of this card it would be greatly appreciated. For a penalty how about we go like this to make it a bit more entertaining. "If either player says snap when 2 consecutive monsters have not been revealed that player looses the match" What do you think? Too harsh? How about "If either player says snap when 2 consecutive monsters have not been revealed that player may no longer say snap and instead the next time 2 consecutive monsters are revealed the second is automatically summoned to the other players side of the field."
