Noze Zelle
I mean, they pretty much made Ha Des and Summoned Skull into Synchros, so why give the first powerful monsters of the early game revamps? UPDATE: Forget the "Old Favorites" title, I'll just be revamping pre-5Ds vanillas into Synchros.
Card Lore: 1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters If this is the only card on your field and there are no cards in your hand, instead of conducting your Battle Phase, you can destroy up to 2 cards your opponent controls. When this card is removed from the field due to the effect of a card effect, you can Special Summon one level 4 or lower Dragon-type monster from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard. Card Lore: 1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters This card is unaffected by Spell Cards controlled by your opponent. When this card is Synchro Summoned, you can search your Deck for one Spell Card and add it to your hand. The Deck is then shuffled. By tributing this face-up card you may Special Summon a Spellcaster-type monster from your hand and destroy one card on the field. Card Lore: 1 Tuner + 1 non-Tuner monster When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle, it can attack again once in a row. If this card destroys two monsters by battle in one turn, inflict 1000 damage to your opponent and draw 1 card. Card Lore: 1 Tuner + 1 non-Tuner monster When this card is in face-up Attack Position, this card cannot be destroyed by battle and you take no damage in battles involving this card. Once per turn, you can negate the attack of one monster controlled by your opponent. When this card is changed from Defense to Attack Position, you can switch the battle position of one monster on the field. Card Lore: 1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters During your Main Phase, you can discard any number of cards from your hand in order to inflict 800 damage to your opponent for every card discarded. When this card attacks, your opponent cannot activate Trap Cards during the Battle Phase, When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, you can remove 1 monster in your Graveyard from play in order to Special Summon this card. Card Lore: 1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters When this card is Synchro Summoned, inflict 1000 damage to your opponent for every non-Tuner monster used in the Synchro Summon of this card. When this card is face-up on the field, at the End Phase of a turn in which you did not inflict Battle Damage, inflict 500 damage to your opponent for every card he or she controls.

Card Lore: 1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters During your Main Phase, roll a 6-sided die twice. You can select and destroy one monster on the field whose level is less than or equal to the total of the two rolls. Card Lore: 1 Tuner + 2 or more non-Tuner monsters When this card is successfully Synchro Summoned, flip 3 coins. This card gains the following effect depending on the results: - 2 Heads: When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle, you gain 1000 Life Points and your opponent discards 1 card from his or her hand at random. - 2 Tails: When this card inflicts Battle Damage, inflict 800 points of damage to your opponent and draw 1 card. - 3 Heads: Once during your Main Phase, return one card you control to your hand and destroy one monster your opponent controls. This card cannot attack during the turn this effect is used. - 3 Tails: Once during your Main Phase, you can discard 1 card and return up to 2 cards on the field to their respective owners' hand(s). Card Lore: 1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner Monsters When this card is Synchro Summoned successfully, your opponent must discard the top card of his or her Deck. During the End Phase of a turn that this card inflicted Battle Damage, place one Hatch Counter (max 3) on this card. When this card has 3 Hatch Counters on it, you can tribute this card in order to Special Summon one level 7 or higher Dragon-Type monster from your hand, Deck, Graveyard, or Extra Deck. Card Lore: 1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner Monsters When this card would be destroyed by battle or by a card effect, you can place one Shatter Counter on this card (max 3). For every Shatter Counter on this card, decrease the ATK and DEF of this card by 500 and decrease the level of this card by 2. Card Lore: 1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner DARK monsters You may remove 1 DARK monster in your Graveyard from play in order to activate one of the following effects: - Negate the activation of a Spell Card controlled by your opponent and destroy it. - Negate the attack of one monster controlled by your opponent. - Inflict 400 damage to your opponent for every card in his or her hand. .Ash
You could have at least given the cards new names/images. As for the cards themselves: Blue-Eyes is OP'd, I think. Generic Synchro + nuking your opponents field at no cost is a push too far, even if the conditions are situational. And then, should this card be destroyed, you can still nuke all your opponents monsters, plus you can SS a Dragon from almost anywhere - again with no cost. Dark Magician is OP'd for definite. Nukes your opponents backrow, right off the bat. Something that Heavy Storm was banned for. Throw in Spell immunity as well, you can't be hit by such Staple's as Book of Moon and Dark Hole. It's far too much, and I imagine it would Limited (maybe banned) very quickly. Flame Cerberus is fairly weak, which is quite a change so far. It would most likely be viewed as balanced by others, but I can't see an awful lot of use for this card personally, I'd personally Synch into Brionac or Goyo Guardian over this. Illusionist Faceless Mage, again is pretty weak. Being in Attack Position to trigger a "once per turn" negation is fairly unhelpful, as your opponent will likely destroy this card with another monster. If it was focused on Defence Position however, it may be slightly more helpful in stalling, as well as being safe from Catastor. Red-Eyes is... meh. When compared to Brionac (solely because it also discards to activate it's effect) you are cutting down your card advantage for no good reason. However, it does provide an alternative to BRD, albeit one that is unlikely to be used. Negating Traps during the Battle Phase is fairly standard, but is unlikely to matter, the only Trap that sees much use that would be blocked would be Mirror Force. Revival effect is a little too heavy in comparison to others, could probably be better if you only removed 1. Tri-Horned Dragon would only be used really as a Beatstick, but there are still better alternatives. Not much else, Burn damage really isn't that useful. Although it is the most balanced of the cards here, it really wouldn't be of much practical use.
Noze Zelle
Edited: BEWD: Only destroys up to 2 cards instead of battle phase and no cards are destroyed when it is removed from the field. Dark Magaician: Search for Spell instead of destroying all of your opponent's. Flame Cerebrus: Gave it Tyrant dragon's first effect, then some burn damage and hand advantage. Faceless Mage: Now can endure battle in Attack Position and added effect for switching battle positions. Attack Position no longer a requirement in negating attacks. REBD: Easier to special summon from grave. Burn damage doubled (would work with darkworld deck maybe?) Tri-Horned Dragon: Increased amount of Burn. any better? Skythief
BEWD still seems overpowered to me... I mean play the hangman on purpose... and you have a wiper. Dark Magician: The Dark Magician of Chaos and the Magician of Faith got banned for this... and as synchro, it's probably easier to play than the magician of chaos. To me the effect doesn't seem that OP but I don't think Konami would agree with me. Flame Cerberus: Now this has combo-ability. Ojama trio, and maybe meteorain and you can wipe some ass. Faceless Mage: Good for stalling, even better than marshmallon as you don't take battle damage. But there are honestly better synchro monsters out there. REBD: Out of them all, I like this one the most. The effects are really good but seem balanced, really favorable. Tri-Horned: Especially decks with many lowlevels would like the burn. But the second effect could probably do more damage than the actual act of an attack, negating all enemy attempts to stall and putting high pressure to go into the offence. I don't know if I should like that fact or not, take it as a neutral statement. Though, the total burn seems a bit much in my eyes. Launcher Spider: Here I begin to doubt what you call "old favorites" but to the effect: Kinda reminds me of blowback dragon, though you're gambling with dices instead of coins, the effect is about the same. Slot Machine: This one really has bad stats, but either effect seems to give you a kinda unfair card advantage. The burn is ignorable. Ryu-Ran: You know the first effect might actually help some types of opponents, namely lightsworns? Other than that the card is good, best of round 2. Just remove that "level 7 or higher" blame them if they wanna summon a lower one.
