Kelp'
He's got a cool name. I heard he wasn't all that great though. But then again, history teachers act like they know everything.
Clair
I've heard that he was the best president at doing nothing. Then again, America was in the Roaring Twenties during his presidency. You didn't have to do anything. ;D

Darth Revan of the Sith
Um actually if it wasnt for Coolidge we wouldnt have had the roaring twenties. Airlines and radio were increased in production. Lowered taxes on the people. Spoke as a supporter of Civil Rights.
~/Coolio Prime\~
The 1920's is where the Republicans showed the ideals they still have today. Shame they don't exactly work anymore(corporate corruption, gang warfare, luxury spending and other factors make their logic outdated).

Mehmani
It's a shame that it's the Democrats that are doing it now.
You know, I thought it was mere generalization that most Democrat haters are religious, but YCM more often than not makes me question basic social understanding. People complain that Obama hasn't done anything, when his mere presence in the White House shows that although he hasn't done anything, it seems America has. I may also care to mention that if it wasn't for the Tea Party fanatics and America still being backward, his healthcare bill would have gone through and changed the world for the better. He is trying to do things but people still stop him. Until people learn to have civilized debates (no Republican media organizations or journalists are actually civilized), then the Obama administration won't get anything done. ~/Coolio Prime\~
Also, what he has done has been beneficial save about two things, but on account of rhetoric and voter ignorance people have come to the assumption that he is the anti-christ and destroying the country because he didn't stop a recession caused by Bush policies and the corporate businesses Republicans want to go unchecked. ~/Coolio Prime\~
Hate and racism is generally absent, I think it's just the political ignorance that lets people get fooled by whoever uses the fanciest language. Obama got some votes for being black(racists would be radically republican anyways) and using some cute rhetoric himself.
Mehmani
Hate and racism is generally absent, I think it's just the political ignorance that lets people get fooled by whoever uses the fanciest language. I think you are giving the American voters far too much credit. Fox News don't use fancy language. The Tea Party doesn't. Racism is both a conscious and unconscious factor in the minds of most voters, and the ones that have been raised with inferiority complexes are racist. The Tea Party movement is a racist, deluded one and most of the political force by them and their associates against Obama is driven by racism, be it conscious or unconscious. Although several critics criticize his policies, mainstream Republican criticism of him is like the Tea Party, driven by an underlying racist ideology. Obama got some votes for being black (racists would be radically republican anyways) and using some cute rhetoric himself. As does every political candidate. McCain was far more exploitive, his political campaign was driven mainly by the rousing stories of his 'Nam years.
~/Coolio Prime\~
There are definitely a decent amount of racists amongst the the haters, but I think the numbers are forced. I might be a bit in the dark since my area is generally devoid of racism, but I know the main reason for the Tea Party isn't racially motivated. They're just a conglomerate of self-serving individuals that don't want to pay taxes or do anything for the team rather than for themselves. Yeah, not very frequently does the actual content of what they want to achieve come into question. When it actually was in the debates you could see Obama had better ideologies, so good thing he won.
