Darth Revan of the Sith
The amount of people who new this is astounding its a shame how that number suddenly dropped as the texts were misread, and misconstrued.
Justice Master
People like you make me have to type things like this. You like to think of all these things that make life seem better because reality is too unforgiving for you. Reality is dark and hateful. You like to think that things happen for a reason and people have unknown power, as in actuality, you don't want to think of life being so simple. Darth Revan of the Sith
Sorry no... I know life is a hell hole i used to believe the same thing as you, that we were just normal humans who are meant to live and die and nothing else to it... then i started reading all these religious writings and I read the symbolic meaning hidden within the texts and i was convinced this was not just some ordinary religious book. I finally learned of the Freemasons, and Noetic Science and I learned that the Mind has mass, that there is such thing as a human soul, and that we have been able to have the same power as gods. You can ignore the beutifulness of life all you want, you can constantly tell yourself there's no way out and that life is just meant to make us miserable. In reality your just depressed and want to shove this depression down everyone's throats because you dont like their happiness, you purposely try to tell to tell yourself that life sucks and that everyone who is happy is just lying to themselves, when really your wrong... i have never thought life was unforgiving my life has been great and I will never think otherwise... You think im just looking for some easy way out but in actuality I want the truth and the truth lies in Noetics...

Canadian
Totally on topic irrelevant post ignoring the spamfest/discussions going on before me: I actually feel kinda bad for the people who have suicided just in fear of this. Even though they must not be to bright, it really makes me upset that mass media can influence peoples' lives so far that they'd kill themselves over something they heard. GenzoTheHarpist
Well, we may see a transformation of consciousness in 2012... if it happens it won't be because of a supernatural force but because humans have the natural will to advance themselves and change their own culture. And if we could see that sort of racial actualization, and start moving towards a new system of truth, tolerance, and healing, i'd like to see that. It would be nice. A year is what humans make of it, and, if enough people have the will to change we will see great changes in 2012. The date itself, has no power, it is a counting system, simply numbers created as a model.

Some people are just so sunken in depression, or lust, or malicious intent, that it makes the whole process a lot more difficult. However, if it was a possibility, I would support it. VGVentus
That's it, I've had enough of this... First, this is a public forum for many different purposes, not a 2012 Supporters website, not a religious forum, it's PUBLIC! People don't want to come here and find religious trolls. Second, if you don't like this thread, DON'T POST IN IT! ...Sorry about that...

I just feel that it had been attempted and failed countless times over the years, and that the chances of a considerable amount of people denying primal urges for a better future is next to nil. It is just too easy to succumb to our owm sins. However, if I were to see a successful organization fighting for a better future and winning, I may consider climbing out of my spiralling pit of pessimism. You can't expect to be led into the future, you have to blaze the way yourself. Even trying and failing is better than not trying at all. No organization can win the fight without people to compose it; we all need to try and organize from the lowest levels to better the world. GenzoTheHarpist
So basically you are holding back your own self-actualization... you say you don't know your purpose but you reject the purposes you support, because you don't think they can win. This is basically as fatalistic as you can get, and its completely nonconducting to actually creating change in society.
