Schrödinger
You know how in the anime mostly they put cards in Face-up Defense? How would it affect today's game if that was allowed as a rule? (Sorry if this is already posted, also sorry if this is in wrong place)
Dementuo
It would hurt it, and hinder it. Some effects can only be used while Face-up, and thus, ou want the effects that turn. However, if a monster was face-down, then your opponent can't see it. It's a bit of a trade-off, really. All in all, though, it would probably be very useful. burnpsy
We've had this topic before this month... Aside from being convenient for a select few horrible cards, nothing would change.

evilfusion
Lava Dragon would suck a little less. A lot of "When Normal Summoned" cards would be a little stronger. A lot of continuous effects on high Defense/low ATK monsters would be stronger. Things like that.

Mysty
Well...: • Lava Dragon becomes somewhat useful, at least • Royal magical library Exodia FTKs now have a 2000 DEF monster in Defense position rather than a 0 ATK monster in attack position, as a small failsafe • Morphtronics' defense position effects become easier to use • Nobleman of Crossout maybe gets a tiny bit weaker As evilfusion said, basically things with Normal Summon clauses get stronger. Overall, not too much else happens.
