[font="Georgia"][i][size="3"]A set using the archetype name "Soldier".
Each Monster Card will have their own effect based off the soldier in real life.
The effects will be creative, useful, and support one another since army men fight as a team.
This set will also be supported by Spell and Trap Cards.[/size][/i][/font]

[b]Effect Description[/b] - This "Sniper" unit is a trusty companion to always have on the battlefield looking after your back. When a comrade (Monster) of the "Sniper" unit is taken out of the battlefield; he looks for the enemy (Monster) with his eagle eyes, and when spotted; the "Sniper" releases a single bullet taking out the killer with a head shot.

[b]Effect Description [/b]- When the regular "Sniper" unit has accomplished missions successfully and with great accuracy; he is then promoted to "Veteran Sniper". This soldier is sent out on missions involving stealth, his trusty long-range arm, and of course excellent skill. He takes out soldiers (Monsters) that are of higher rank (Level) which deals great damage to the leader (Opponent) of the army and his strategy.
[b]Lore:[/b]
[i]If this card is Tribute Summoned successfully by Tributing 1 "Soldier - Sniper", increase the DEF of this card to 2200. Once per turn, by Tributing 1 "Soldier" monster you control, destroy 1 monster your opponent controls and inflict damage equal to the monster's Level x200.[/i]

[b]Effect Description[/b] - [i]The main foot soldier for the armies. When this soldier is taken out; a new one is on his way to honor the death of their companions.[/i]

[b]Effect Description[/b] - [i]When the Rifleman manages to accomplish a few missions and become a hero; he is promoted into a Veteran Rifleman who is stronger and more precise.[/i]

[i]If this card is Tribute Summoned by "Soldier - Rifleman", increase the ATK of this card to 2200. Once per turn, when this card destroys a monster your opponent controls, destroy 1 Set Spell or Trap Card. If the destroyed card was a Spell Card, this card can attack again. When this card destroys 2 monsters during the same Battle Phase, Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Soldier" monster from your hand.[/i]

[b]Effect Details [/b]- The "Medic" is one who is willing to risk his life for the sake of his men's lives. While in a squad of soldiers (Monsters), this guy is the most protected one for he is the one who is able to heal the best. When he sees a comrade down; he rushes to his aid to recover (Prevent Destruction) him back to health.
[b]Lore:[/b]
[i]While you control another face-up "Soldier" monster with a different card name, this card cannot be selected as an attack target. Once during your Standby Phase, if this is the only "Soldier" monster your control, you can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Soldier" monster from your Graveyard.[/i]

Make it a cost, but allow it to benefit the set as a whole as well. Like "Send 1 "Soldier monster from your hand or you control to the Graveyard".

EDIT: OCG is wrong on that line, so don't trust the grammar. LoL, in a bit of a daze at the moment, so I don't feel like thinking.

I would go with Essence approach to making the card more balanced (although I don't find the card that overpowered). Make it have an Archetype-related drawback, but at the same time, it being beneficial. For example, say the cost has to be discarding a Soldier / Tributing one / whatever. This would be like if it was watching out for it's comrades, who were ambushed (the discard), which then the Sniper avenges them by taking out said monster. Then, you can have some monster like 'Soldier - Medic', that can recover those Soldiers from the Grave for something beneficial (such as Life Point gain).

However, take fully note, that you should do your best to make the cards as creative / original as possible. Nobody in RC really likes cards that although go well together, only due so because of their lack of originality. Just saying. Also, seeing I already posted in this Archetype, I might as well do my best to continuing giving it some reviews here and there, and perhaps an Archetype Review as a whole when enough cards are made.

I'm bout to change the card to Tributing 1 other Soldier monster in order to activate its effect.

That would make it more 'overpowered' without the Life Point cost and it being able to used during the Standby instead >.>
