Hey, hey. I had some time on my hands, so I decided to make another card.

 

Here is yet another card with the CED acronym:

This card cannot be Special Summoned. When this card is Tribute Summoned successfully, remove from play all Spell Cards in your Graveyard, and place 1 Crisis Counter on this card for each card removed by this effect. When a Spell or Trap Card is activated, or the effect of an Effect Monster is activated, that activation is negated and remove 1 Crisis Counter from this card. When there are no Crisis Counters on this card, this card is destroyed.

 

I really enjoyed making this card, and I hope you will enjoy it as well.

It may very powerful, but there are ways to get around it. After all, it can only activate once per chain, and a single Treeborn Frog can plow through all the negations and Crisis Counters during a single Standby Phase.

The effect is too much like light and darkness dragon...

 

Should be worded as so:

You are absolutely right, bhim.

 

Here's the problem with your fix:

 

You wrote "negate the activation of the effect of a Spell, Trap, or Effect Monster Card".

 

The thing is, there are very few Spell and Trap cards that allow you to activate its effect. Specifically, most Spell and Traps lets you activate the effect by activating the card. With most Spell and Traps, it goes like this: activate the card, and apply the effect. You do not actually activate the effect.

 

Only Continuous Spell or Traps allow you to activate the effect of the card. For example, take Wave-Motion Cannon. You activate the card. However, since it's effect has a specific activation condition, you cannot immediately begin applying the effect. When the condition is fulfilled, you may then activate the effect, and apply it.

 

With Effect Monsters, however, it goes like this: Summon the card, activate the effect, apply the effect.

 

This is why Light and Darkness Dragon is worded the way it is. If I were to make your fix, then CED would be severely limited in the Spell and Trap cards it can negate.
