Traps aren't quick-play.
"If there is a monster on the field thats being attacked you can choose another attack target on either side of the field if there is only one monster on each side of the field the attack target is your opponent."
--This makes no sense.

--I think this is what you meant.
If an opponents monster declares an attack, you can change its attack target to another monster on either side of the field. If there is exactly 1 monster on both sides of the field, your opponents monster attacks itself.

Maybe the monster has an effect that triggers on an attack (or direct attack). In that case, Id pick this card over MC.

Other than that, however, not much difference.
