Vediavis Posted February 26, 2011 Report Share Posted February 26, 2011 So recently i have started playing Super Mario Bros Crossover and i very much enjoy the game so i decided to make some cards for it, So here they are [Spoiler=For those who don't know] Super Mario Bros Crossover is a game made by Jay Pavlina (Exploding Rabbit) and Consists of the following Characters, [B]Mario[/B] (Of Course), [B]Ryu Hayabusa[/B] (From Ninja Gaiden), [B]Simon Belmont[/B] (From Castlevania), [B]Link[/B] (From Zelda), [B]Bill Rizer[/B] (From Contra), [B]Samus Aran[/B] (From Metroid), [B]SOPHIA III[/B] (From Blaster Master), and [B]Mega Man[/B] (From Mega Man). The game is played just like the Original Super Mario Bros game, and all the characters keep their attacks from their original games. TheBigCheese Posted June 15, 2011 Report Share Posted June 15, 2011 A unique idea to make a card set inspired by such a great game. The cards themselves are fine attempts as they tick all the initial boxes in terms of images/effects/viability. As I have already established that they are fine attempts at cards I do believe that some constructive criticism would do you some good. To begin with although the OCG is good, it is not flawless and you could make some changes to make it more current, for example on your "Bill Rizer" card a slightly better version on your OCG would be: "Increase the ATK of this card by 100 x every card your opponent controls." As you can see my version is not a world away from yours however it is slightly more up-to-date, I hope that helps and if you need some OCG help with your other cards let me know. In regards to the effects themselves it looks to me that you didn't really push yourself and you decided to settle for cards with rather mundane, uncreative effects. If you would have put more effort into the effects, you would have had a set of very high quality cards indeed, having said that it is up to you how much effort you want to put into your cards. As I said at the start of the post these are nice cards but with some more time and care you could have created a formidable set.
