wiithepeople
No. 57 - Roulette Warrior DARK/Rank 3/Warrior/Exceed/Effect 2 Level 3 monsters Once per turn, you can send 1 Exceed Material monster to the Graveyard and roll a six-sided die. 1 or 2: Return 1 card on the field to the bottom of its controller's Deck. 3: Select 2 Level 3 monsters in your Graveyard. They now become Exceed Material Monsters and can be used for this monster's effect. 4 or 5: Draw 1 card. 6: This card gains 1000 ATK until the End Phase. ATK/ 2300 DEF/ 1500 Suggested artwork (if anyone is interest): Dark Purple and Black background. Roulette Warrior has white chest armor. Sword is a rapier which is also white. The shield is large with a roulette in the shield's center. So it's not OP'd because he's based on chance. Link to comment
Bahamut - Envoy of the End
Why does no bugger get it? Cards with dice or coin flip (gamble) effects are suppossed to be... a gamble? As in get the right result, good stuff happens for you. Get it wrong, and you're further behind. Not "No matter what the result of this dice roll I'm still going to end up ahead". None of the effects have anything to do with each other. Link to comment

Think about cards like Maximum Six! Link to comment

The bolded is rather wrong. Link to comment
dogfish44
Gamble decks are normally focussed upon the fact thqat it can go wrong (Arcana Force included). I beieve Matt to be right - Most gamble cards can be dangerous to yourself. The difference is that some cards are random effect ones - which might not be a gamble, but just a random guess. For instance, Needle Wall isn't a gamble card. It's just a random result card, IMHO. Link to comment

Thinks like Graceful Dice and Maximum Sixx don't really count as gambles, really. But the idea of: " I roll a dice. I got a one, that's a good effect for me... I got a two, that's another good effect for me... I got a three, four, five, six, all good news" is rather point-defying and silly, isn't it? Also, you still haven't addressed the point that this card is still just a bunch of four random effects thrown together in a fairly unimaginative way. Link to comment

What I really don't get is why you totally share no love for the new Exceed mechanic. Link to comment

[/quote] Shooting Star Dragon is a gamble card when you want it to be, isn't it? You can gamble between zero attacks and five attacks. The big difference is you can slightly tip the odds in your favor by putting more Tuners into your deck while six-sided die always have the same odds. But yeah, Bahumut, I do agree that multiple different effects being put on one card doesn't really make sense. • Anime-only Dice Dungeon basically made it so the monster's stats would change. • Dangerous Machine Type something did effects revolving around card advantage. Also, personally I think the Exceeds (or at least the "number" archetype - not all of them are part of the number archetype) should have a negative effect should they have no Exceed Material Monsters.
