If an opponents monster declares an attack, it must attack this card. Your opponent cannot attack you directly. There is no battle damage taken from battles involving this card. Each time this card is attacked, inflict 500 damage to your Life Points. This card cannot be tributed or used as synchro material.
newhat
Cool concept, cleanly executed. Highly searchable, but can't be revived (assuming you meant "After activation"). Play on first turn with Field Barrier and Raging Flame Sprite. Add Royal Decree for giggles and watch your opponent die against a card that far outclasses Metal Reflect Slime. While certainly not meta-breaking, it's a smidge too good. 3000 DEF with no cost, no Summon block and a powerful restrictive effect? It beats the screamin' meemees outta Spirit Reaper.
"[assuming you meant "After activation"]" - Yup. I think unless you state it's treated as something else while in the Graveyard, Deck, etc. it's assumed the effect is only active while face-up on the field. - Its main neg effect is the 500 each time it's attacked.....probably not enough. I originally had it at 1000...but then that's too much. I guess its the restrictive effect that tips it towards being Op'd. I want to keep that effect tho, since field spells generally have broad effects like that. Maybe if I added counters.......things just get too messy then. Thanks for the Feedback. RBY
Wow, this is really cool and it seems balanced too. There would be plenty of ways to get around it so it's not overpowered If you played it on your first turn it would likely be the number one target for Smashing ground, and it would definitely be vulnerable to you opponent playing field spells and having it destroyed that way. Also on a side note, Turtles and Tortoises seem to be the perfect candidates for field monsters, however, I think there should probably be some effect that gives it a field like touch. For example, Yami powers up spellcasters and fiends on both sides of the field, either that or it should be part of a specific theme. It's still really nice though. I'm thinking of maybe changing it to both players can only attack this monster to balance it out a bit more and give it a more Field Spell feel. Might be too much tho.
