The ritual card is cool. My problem is that it seems to be a slightly weaker version of Black Luster Soldier, which I would take in my deck over this.

From you're first sentence was expecting a card to prevent ritual summons.

Simply put, it's too weak for a ritual monster. It needs some spicing up. Like some cool effect or just more attack or defence.

The trouble with cards like this is that they're not one or the other. My deck is built out or cards with EITHER high defence or high attack. As this card has reasonable good stats in both it means that it's not particularly high in either. Meaning simply that people look at this, go "nice card", and pick up the one next to it with 4000 ATK and 0 DEF.

It's a good card, it just needs that little something extra that will make me want (or need) to put it in my deck.

lol rituals don't quite follow the same rules as normals for level and ATK/DEF.

It's up'd, and so is Black Luster. The only use this would get is in a Skill Drain deck, and there are plenty of other better choices.

His ATK and DEF are fine, since it has no effects. Actually UP'ed if you ask me.
However, your OCG needs lots of work...I'll correct it in a bit

well everyone has pretty much summed up OCG and effects
as for the picture itself it seems kinda squished (or was the original pic a puppy?) but either way try cropping/resizing or something then re-uploading to make the pic a little clearer

This card is used to Ritual Summon "Lunagrowl". You must also Tribute monsters whose total level equals exactly 7 from the field or your hand.

Lunagrowl:
This card can only be Ritual Summoned with the Ritual Spell Card, "Beast of Prey"

Garma Sword is a level 7 ritual monster with 2550/2150.

Shinato, King of a Higher Plane is a level 8 ritual monster with 3300/3000 and Flame Wingman's effect for defense monsters.

Level 7 vanilla ritual with 2900/2500 actually sounds a bit fair and decent to me.

Why wold you want to de-power it. Most rituals can meet or beat the level. Only certain newer rituals must exactly meet the level and I hate all those kind.


I love rituals and use them in my primary decks almost since I have started playing. This card is not super good but it is also not as bad as people are calling it. The stats are decent for a level 7 ritual with no restrictions (Like the exact level thing). To improve on it, honestly I think you could have gotten away with making it a level 6. Of course you can add an effect to the monster but that isn't needed if you don't want to. If you do consider it though also keep in mind you can add a second effect to the ritual spell card (Like Ritual of Grace, Ritual of Destruction, or Dawn of the Herald).
