A darker story: R.A.I.N.

Not sure if I will pursue this any further but here is what I have so far. If I get enough positive feedback I will turn it into a full fan fic (I'm no writer, nor have I ever written a fan fic before) Hopefully this isn't too bad of a first attempt. Anyways the general concept is to tell a more realistic and darker story in the pokemon universe of a young man who has just began his journy in a world overrun by Team Rocket. They have taken control of the world, sending it into a mafia controlled prison. Now Rave (the name I used last on a pokemon game XD I might change it if I can get any good suggestions) must decide what his destiny will be, strive to set the world free from this terror? Or join Team Rocket and watch the world burn...

The rain crashed hard on the street all around him. The night sky was shrouded in dark clouds as a mass of ominous black smoke seeped into it. There was a faint orange glow overcoming the sky behind him from the flames of his burning home he had left in the distance. His knees ached and screamed for him to stand, but he stayed slouched in the middle of the street. His back arched over, his head hung low staring at the small piece of road between his knees. His arms were left limp at his sides, his unclenched hands rested their knuckles on the floor. He stayed perfectly still. Black hair hung low in front of his face, weighed down from being soaked in the rain. He seemed fixated on the small pool of blood forming in the puddle between his legs as it dripped from the tip of his nose. He didn’t see the puddle, or even the street for that matter. He was lost inside his head. The sound of the rain seemed to be overcome by the constant drip-drop of blood. He stared unblinkingly for what seemed like an eternity. Sirens and screams could be heard faintly from a far off crisis he seemed to have forgotten. He had been looking forward to today his whole life. Today Rave had received his first Pokemon, and Team Rocket had crushed his dream before it even began...
