I've started making a large set of Anime-themed cards, designed to be fair and balanced, while still portraying the essence of the anime characters they represent. Feedback is appreciated. This is just the first batch.

I fully understand how Gemini monsters work. There is no reason I can't make one that loses an effect instead of gains one though. It would work fine.

That wouldn't be a Gemini monster, just a normal effect monster that loses it's effect. Gemini monsters are made to gain effects after summoning them again.

But I've decided I want it to be a new form of Gemini, and so it is. They've done this before, like new vs old toon monsters with different requirements, and fusions now don't need polymerization, which makes them not much different from things like Gate Guardian. Different ways of using old types appear all the time. And so I made one. I'm sure it would look more like a Gemini if I reworded it and included a bullet point.


Any comments on the others? I know they don't have as much of an impact for the ones whose anime haven't been seen...
Are any of them overpowered? Underpowered is never a problem.
For the ones whose animes you've seen, does the effect seem to be appropriate for the card?

There are quite a bit of old Fusion monsters that don't need polymerization, the VWXYZ's, and if you count it, the Neos Fusions. But theres no point in making a new form of Gemini monster if that kind of a thing can be done with a plain old effect monster. There are ones that lose their effect through their own effect, so it's the same thing.

The Touma one makes a lot of sense.

I guess I could take away the Gemini. She just seemed like she would be a Gemini monster to me, but I don't want to change her effect.

And VWXYZ and Neos were the "new fusions" I was referring to. My mind is still back in the days when Metal Raiders was full of powerful cards like Pumpking, the King of Ghosts. XD

You do have to reword them, but as for the Geass though, mind renaming them because since the effects are different, and one is a trap and the other is spell, it looks like one is for Mao and the other is for Lelouch.
