Parasitic Infestation - Set [30/??]

Recommended Posts

The idea of this set is basically to destroy your opponent's strategy by hand and deck destruction, and the like. Other than that, not much to really comment.

I love these cards. My only problem is they seem a little weak, as if they wouldn't last long or wouldn't be resilient enough to win a duel. I would suggest, first off, increasing Over-Infection's attack to at least 2600 so it can take out Stardust without dying.

That being said, I love these effects. Parasitic Virus puts a really cool spin on this set that Yu-Gi-Oh doesn't really have yet. The art is also amazing. 9/10, the only problem being I can't quite picture the end game these monsters might have.

Parasite Poltergeist
3 star
Zombie / Tuner
1300 / 1000
Once per turn this card can equip/unequip itself with or to another card on your side of the field. The card gains all but the level from the card equipped by this effect.

posted this a few weeks ago, im.... really... wondering, is this a co-incidence? parasite paradox?

well shitty, my post flopped majorly, if it didn't im certain u'd have seen it... whats ur secret to success? it was my first time posting, so i dont quite have the hang of Spoilers and such

if u wanna check em out they are a few pages back, i dont think its a good idea if i bump it til i got something else to add, and since i just recently became a father, i dont always have to time to fill em out, but if u got any suggestions for mine, i'd be open to em

and i have a quesiton for you, why fiend? i know i thought the same thing u did when you saw that pic, but why fiend ?

i guess i'll change my pic, i gotta find a new one for the Exceed card already

The idea of a parasitic infection really only does reach fiend, as no other types suit it as a whole. I wanted the whole set to be one type, also, so I figured fiend would be best. Remove all the obviously un-usable ones and you're left with Insect, Plant, Zombie and Fiend, really. Insect doesn't suit enough of them, same with Plant. Zombie seemed somewhat fitting, as did Fiend, but the idea of milling to me seems more of a "Fiend-ish" act rather than a "Zombie-ish" act.

omg you really went to town with this set huh? wish i had the time to flesh out my own set :( lol my son is drivin' me nuts... maybe i'll make a card based on him....

30/?? is somethin scary

to be honest i haven't had the time to read em all, but they seem like a really convoluted confusing set! i think the reason more people haven't posted is because each card is a tongue twister on their own, and putting them into an actual deck to use against another person would have BOTH players constantly looking at the cards going....." ...... ok...... ok..... ok............ wait what?"

of the few i've read, i've been "MIND CRUSH!!!"d lol

after facing this deck.... i doubt anyone would be nuts enough to face a mill like that a 2nd time lol

question, in the credits on your original post, could you link them to the respective source? im sure the artists would love the recognition

These cards aren't meant to be entirely simple. As much as most normal mill-cards would be rather simple, to combo properly these cards need to have all that text, but I do kinda see where you're coming from. I just wanted to see whether it'd be possible to bring milling up to the top without making it broken.

As for facing it, it's not too hard, really, unless the user gets out one of the higher leveled cards. Even then that's pretty hard, as they aren't the greatest swarmers out there, even if they are far from the worst. If a player can prevent them from swarming, or simply out-swarm them, odds are that they can win, as the weaker cards aren't hard to destroy.

Normally one does not need to link the source, merely credit the artist, were one of them to ask for links, however, I would implement them.

i think parasitic parasite needs to be a higher level as it could be 2800 atk and def at max...
The idea is he's a reward for keeping "Parasitic" and "Parasite" monsters on the field. They're not very good at swarming regardless. However, I do think that instead I could maybe change it to 500 per card?
