The Knights of Cydonia; OOC [PG-16]

Before we begin, please note that all forum rules apply. This is an advanced role-play, and the advanced clause applies as follows:

[b]Minimum Post Length [/b]– Each standard IC post should have the equivalent of at least 4 lines of text. However, a good post should have around one to two paragraphs with proper English spelling and grammar, and should have enough material for other RPers to expand and elaborate on in their own posts. (As a rule of thumb, 4 unbroken lines of text on YCM at standard size and font is roughly 100 words.)

[b]Dialogue[/b] – Dialogue should be done in one of two ways; in quotation marks or in speech lines. Script format is prohibited, because it doesn’t allow as much description and is dull overall.

[b]No Expies[/b] – Copy-paste characters from either separate RPs or from already existing franchises, with only minor detail changes, are frowned upon. This doesn’t allow true “evolution” as a unique character.

The time is 485 A.D., the Medieval Ages. Before you stands the once great and powerful land of Cydonia. Toxicity, chaos, betrayal, denial, sorrow. These words don't usually come to mind when the country of Cydonia is mentioned. But as of late, a crude and dark element has befallen this nation. A black, feeding poison has drained the purity and heart of this land, from it's citizens to it's mythic creatures. Senseless onslaught has driven men to kill their brothers, their mothers, their wives, and themselves. Before, dragons and serpents were beasts of loyalty; now they are a hindrance, destroying everything they touch. The very stability of the world is at stake. For this poison is forever spreading, ruining all in it's path. All but five remain untouched in Cydonia. The Knights. Once a team of six brethren of magic, their leader has gone missing. Since his sudden disappearance, this black destruction has wreaked havoc amongst their proud nation. Now, two tasks have been assigned to them by the eldest brother: find number six, and find the cure. But the poison is not the only problem the Knights have. The very people they protect have lost their minds to insanity, driving the Knights out to the outskirts of their own land.

Now they must find a way home, so that they may find the sixth, and find an answer. Parts of the forest around them remain untouched, and as they prepare for war, they find refuge in it's innocence.[/spoiler]

[b]Character's Pistol Description[/b]: [i]Believe it or not, they have pistols. Kick-ass pistols. Not modern day pistols mind you, but flintlock style pistols (look it up). So describe the butt of the gun, the barrel, the body, casings, etc. And they don't require bullets.[/i][/spoiler]

[b]Character's Description:[/b] Korniliu stands at about 6'4, with unkempt dark brown hair. His eyes are a dull blue, and he has a bit of a goatee. Similar to the other brothers, he's well-built from years of training. His Mark of Cydonia is located on his tricep, which he conveniently keeps hidden with cloth. Korniliu is the quiet brother, never speaking out of turn, always analyzing the situation, never acting rash. At the same time, he is not one to work with others. He tends to formulate his own plans and act on them, if his other brothers do not do the same, he often responds with 'What, weren't you guys right behind me?' This has caused small strifes between him and the others in the past, and occasionally he seems distant.

[b]Character's Pistol Description:[/b] The butt of the gun is made of a dark wood, with silver metal lining the gun. It has two barrels, with an odd dark casing. A prototype crosshair can be found at the back of the body.

Character's Name: Iaaku of Cydonia

Character's Age: 21

Character's Description: Iaaku is roughly 5'11". He has medium length dark curly hair. His eyes are a smoky blue but seem to change to a dark blue when the light is right. He has a very visible muscular tone. He has facial hair growing in and looks more like his brothers with each passing day. He bares two scars on his chest from past battle experience. His marking of Cydonia is on his lower tricep visible when wearing clothes with shorter sleeves. Iaaku talks loud and is very short fused, he is not afraid to defend his argument. He talks when he feels the need to and doesn't listen to others well. Iaaku will act when he feels is necessary and is never rational in his problem solving skills. He normal deals with a problem by attacking it head on instead of figuring out other ways around it. Iaaku has problems dealing with authority, he believes that because he is a Knight me may step on everyone below him

Character's Primary Weapon of Choice: a black long two-handed sword trimmed gold with a ruby on either side of the hilt.

Character's Pistol Description:A wooden pistol with black trimming. At the bottom of the hilt there is a stone piece with the symbol of Cydonia, you can remove the piece to reveal a small compartment.

[b]Character Name:[/b] Lars of Cydonia

[b]Character's Age:[/b] 27

[b]Character Description:[/b] Blonde hair brushed back carefully and held together in a short queue crown Lars' head. He has sharp blue eyes and a faint, easily overlooked scar under his right eye. He is not visibly muscular, but has a lithe body that is toned and supple, well suited to the agile and nimble movements he incorporates into his spear play and fighting. His face is clean, with no beard and thin eyebrows and he is just a tip above six feet tall. His Cydonia markings are just below his collar bone, but are easily covered by regular tunics. Character wise, he is cunning, but not calculating, and versatile and flexible in thinking and not predictable. He is often in conversations, but will go and do his own thing, while still following the basic idea. He likes to find loopholes and manipulate them.

[b]Character's Elemental Properties:[/b] Primary Air, Secondary Ice

[b]Character's Primary Weapon of Choice:[/b] A spear with a slim blade that can be separated into two segments. The base has a spike in it that can be retracted or extended. The tip can be removed and uses as a dagger or to use the pole as a staff or twin rods.

[b]Character's Pistol Description:[/b] The body of the pistol is made from polished whitish wood. Five silver metal bands are on the wooden base of the barrel and the same metal is used in the cloud and wind-gust decorations on the handle. The butt is capped in silver and has a pale blue tassel attached.

[b]Character's Age[/b]: 32

[b]Character's Description[/b]: A six foot, four inch giant, Valdis is the eldest of the brothers. He was trained thoroughly by number six in his combat style and magical arms. His emerald eyes are the most noticeable asset, and with an extremely well toned body, he's nothing short of a force to be reckoned with. Being the eldest, Valdis tends to be arrogant, but he understands when he's right, and when he's wrong. He can be both gentle and understanding, but that is often outweighed when it comes to his home and his family. The Cydonia markings he bears can be found on his back, in the exact center. He has an average length beard, and short cut brown hair which barely proceeds to it's end on the silver scar above his left eye. His primary goal at the moment is to find number six, and keep his brothers secure and safe, under all circumstances.

[b]Character's Elemental Properties[/b]: Primary Element of Earth, Secondary Element of Plants

[b]Character's Primary Weapon of Choice[/b]: Vadis carries a heavy two-handed tempered steel sword upon his back at all times. It's sleek curved body is almost elusive to it's threatening point and hilt. Engraved down the middle of the blade, in red, Cydonian lettering reads, "The time has come to make things right." It's hilt is made of steel and dragon hide, and in it's center resides a large diamond cut emerald.

[b]Character's Pistol Description[/b]: Valdis' pistol is made of pure steel, with a yak hide harness and black hide casing on it's butt. The barrel is eight inches in length, and is surrounded by two smaller barrels of four inches in length. The primary fire is used to damage the target, and the secondary fire is used to stun the target.

Character Description: Gabriel is awesome and he knows this. Check out his 6'6'6 height, not sure what the third six means but it sure looks cool. Check out his awesome black wavy hair, his dashing green eyes, his beautiful ebony horns... well okay, those of fake, part of his religion and all that, it's hard being a occulomancer and perfect. It's hard and no one understands. Besides those horns look awesome on him whenever he actually gets to put them on, people keep forcing him to take them off, asshats. Can't understand the motherfunning miracles that is simply how awesome he is. He's bigger then satan goshdarnit! Despite how awesome and perfect this cool cat is, he is down with his friends, willing to lend a hand, they can't help how less awesome they are. He doesn't care if his family aint down with the imps. There has been whispers that this is because his Cydonia markings wound up on his YOU KNOW WHAT. Which probbaly means he is a dick.

Character's Elemental Properties: Sound/mud


Character's Primary Weapon of Choice: The Shotgun, it's simply a trident. It's name just sounds cool. The trident itself is a very special trident and supposedly haunted by demons, but then again, Gabriel said the same thing about his bologna sandwich so who is to know what's what?

Character's Pistol Description: Iet black metal with a curving handle, it seems to be all one piece of metal, but can't be the case. It's nozzle widens at the mouth kinda making a small cone shape. Red markings are inscribed on the gun. No one knows what they say, if they say anything at all. Like everything about Gabriel, the gun gives people the creeps.

Hence his worship of demons, which in terms of his religion covers any mythical being, elves, dwarves, etc.

It's not that he is evil, it's that he is one of those guys who don't listen to anything but impulses.
