So she's allowed to get one when she's raped, but not when the condom they were using ripped per say? Or what if she was on the pill but it happened to not work?

I'm not saying she should or shouldn't be allowed to get one in any particular circumstance, but don't compare the two.

One, there is consent.

The other, there is no consent.

To answer your question seriously; some people believe it's wrong because it's killing a living entity. In my opinion it's not wrong, medical practician has come far these days and they would offer a quick and painless abortion. To touch up on your question a little more, in most places within the U.S they allow unrestricted abortion until the end of the second trimester. However, waiting until the last second to abort your child is naturally ill-advised.

fact, condoms aren't 100% fool proof
They are. Condoms, if properly applied, are 100% fool proof (if you don't tear them). And tearing a condom is actually quite difficult to do.

In short, medical science has proven time and time again that the foetus in not a true living entity until five and half months. It has the potential to be life, but so do strands of DNA in a laboratory where they combine strands to make artificial life. Do you think that Pro-Life activists think that those little strands should be allowed to survive forever as they have "potential"? As they have "a God-given right to life"? No. They never mention it. They just let those innocent strands of DNA shrivel and die. Come on religion. Why don't you bomb those places as well? You'd be killing life-destroyers and science. Two birds with one stone, what's not to like?

I'm on the fence when it comes to abortion. This is because you need to consider:

-The circumstances of the conception
-The age of the fetus
-The methods of abortion
-The public and private reactions

and all the other different factors and strife people will cause. I just say, don't do the big it if you are not prepared to raise a child. It's the best form of preventing pregnancy, which can lead to an abortion.

They still involve two people doing it and somebody getting pregnant. I think the situations are quite similar.

Agree with the above points. If you think you will get pregnant or made someone pregnant, get checked straight away before the fetus begins to grow, so you can still have some way of stopping it that isn't classed as abortion, e.g. morning after pill or whatnot. If you don't get checked or use contraception, it's your fault completely if you get pregnant.

If, for some reason, you can't get checked, it's really down to you what to do.

EDIT: Ninja'd.

Well, this is why I get a little defensive about this topic. There are many things to consider, so I tend to get a little mad when people pull the, "Just kill it, it's not like it's a living organism or anything."
But it isn't a living organism, at least not until five or so months. Six months is the limit for abortion because it can be born quite healthily at six months. Most abortions after five months take place only if it is an ectopic pregnancy or the baby being born would likely kill both baby and mother.
