Remember the Past?

Nobody uses old cards anymore, since they just can't stand up to the effect monsters of today. When I say old, I don't mean things like Jinzo or Sangan, whose effects keep them in usage. Remember Sand Stone? What about Succubus Knight? Skull Red Bird? These all used to be great cards. 1600 attack points for only one tribute? Couldn't get much better than that. So, in honor of the cards that people have forgotten as the game progressed, I present to you the "Forgotten" archetype, comprised of Fusions of those monsters. I've only made a few, but I intend to make many more, such that each material monster can be used in more than just a single fusion.

(I especially like how the descriptions of Nemuriko and Dark Titan of Terror fit together so well.)

"Sand Stone" + "Hinotama Soul"
A Fusion Summon of this card can only be conducted with the above fusion material monsters. If this card battles a non-WATER monster, destroy that monster before damage calculation. When this card is destroyed by a card effect, inflict damage equal to its attack to the player who destroyed it.

"Nemuriko" + "Dark Titan of Terror"
A Fusion Summon of this card can only be conducted with the above fusion material monsters. When a card on the field is targeted by a card your opponent controls, or is selected as an attack target by an opponent's monster, negate the attack and remove the targeted card from play until the End Phase. This card cannot be destroyed by card effects that do not target it.

"Water Magician" + "Water Omotics"
A Fusion Summon of this card can only be conducted with the above fusion material monsters. This card is unaffected by the effects of spells. During each of your End Phases, if you did not attack, place a "Wave Token" on an empty space on the field. (It is not a monster, and cannot be removed from the field.) That Token's controller then draws one card.

i personally miss the old yugioh- back when the cards were just fun and not all "Blackwing" this and "Naturia" that...it used to be hard to build a good deck around seemingly random cards and it made us so much more awesome when we linked together random cards and made an epic combination :D this set is a good idea, kinda took me down memory lane for a bit

Wow man! I think the same, for he cards they have small errors, well maybe not errors but somethign on them seemed weird to me, anyway, for me it goes like this:
Pics: 10/10
OCG: 8/10
Ideas and concepts: 20/20

10 + 8 = 18
18 / 3 = 6
6 + 20 = 26
26 / 2 = 13

Congratz.
look at my sig for details of my rating cards system.

I REALLY like the effect on the last one. This archetype is fun, but the effect on the last one makes me cackle maniacally to myself. The "Wave Token" was a great idea.

Your pictures aren't amazing, and your capitalization needs a little work. But I like this archetype too much to complain. If you need help, holler and I can fix that OCG right up for you. Until then, very good job.

Pics - 7/10
OCG - 6/10

Slight overpowering effects (Dreamtaker) and misc grammar issues.

Dreamtaker isn't too overpowered when you consider that you need to fuse two weak normal monsters to summon it. Simply having them in your deck is a cost.
Dreamtaker's biggest weakness is that, because it only works while on the field, targeting it with any card effect or attack will remove it until the end phase, meaning that it's effect can't protect your other cards until the next turn. As long as they use an attack on it first, with any monster, even a weakling, they can attack and target all your other cards just fine for the rest of the turn.

I've made these cards powerful to account for the fact that you can't summon them without a deck full of bad monsters, and even then, it is still difficult to bring out one of the fusions.

Thanks! ^_^

I've never been very good at OCG. I don't make huge grammar errors that make cards unreadable, but the small details like word choice and capitalization still escapes me. My specialty is interesting and fun effects. My favorite cards are the really unusual ones, especially if they are just a little bit underpowered. That's why I've got Solomon's Lawbook as my avatar. Back when it came out, few cards were more unusual than one that only skipped your standby phase, and yet, if used properly, it is immensely powerful.

I'll be sure to make more fun effects in the future as well.
