My First Cards!

BFG Studios

Recommended Posts

Hey all.
I am new to the card making world and these may prove it. These are the first cards I have made on this website and I would like to share my creations. I would like everyone's full and honest opinions on what you think of my cards and how they will play in a real game (that is why this topic is in the Realistic Cards section).
NOTE: Not all cards have pictures on them because I do not know a good place to find free and good pictures (can anyone help me with that situation?).

All cards are shown below in an order of Monsters, Traps, and then Spells.

Lore: Though he has had countless near-death experiences, he continues to fight forward for the greater cause.
Lore: If this card is attacked or sent to your Graveyard by your opponent while it is in face-down DEF position, the card(s) that attacked are instantly sent to your opponent's Graveyard.

Lore: When this card is sent to your Graveyard, tribute any card from your opponent's hand, or field if they do not have any cards in their hand, to Special Summon this card once it is your turn.

Lore: If this card targets a face-down Defense Monster, it can destroy up to 2 Spell or Trap cards from the opponent's side of the field and remove them from Play. If Special Summoned, you can equip "Lightning Blade" from the Deck, Hand, or Graveyard.

Lore: "Thundo" + "Lighning Blade" + 1 or more non-Tuner Monsters
This card cannot be destroyed by battle damage. If this card is targeted by Spell or Trap cards, remove all Spell, Trap, and face-up Monsters from Play. For each Monster removed, inflict 600 Points of Direct Damage to your opponent's Life Points.

Lore: Activate this card only when your opponent Summons a Monster with a higher ATK than any other face-up Monster you control. Remove their Monster, and any face-up Monster that you control with the highest ATK, from Play. You can also send one card from your hand to your Graveyard to draw one other card.

Lore: If your opponent is using a Monster or any other type of card, or card effect, to damage your Life Points directly, your opponent's Life Points will take the full amount of damage to their Life Points directly. Your Life Points will only go down 100 points for every face-up card your opponent has on the field.

---

Lore: Choose one of the two effects:
- Roll a six-sided die, multiply the rolled amount by 200, and increase one of your Monster's ATK points by the multiplied number.
- Flip a coin and, if you call it right, you can send one of your opponent's Monsters (face-up or down) to its Graveyard; but, if you call it wrong, this card is sent to your Graveyard.

Lore: As long as this card is face-up and in Play, your opponent(s) will always have to pay double the amount of Life Points needed in order for them to activate any type of card effect. If your opponent cannot pay the doubled price, negate the activation of their card effect and put the card into its respective Graveyard.

Again, please give me all the feedback you can give me. I would really like it considering I am new at making cards (especially Synchros lol).
Thanks.

Not too bad for a New Member.

The OCG is off but that's expected of New Members.

A few of the monsters are overpowered. That means that they're too strong for their Level. Like Silent Hitman #2 has 7 Stars, 2500 ATK and 2000 DEF, the same as The Dark Magician, a card without an effect. But this card has an awesome effect, so you should give it a weaker effect to balance it out.

Operation: Gamble has an effect that says if you flip a coin and call it wrong, it destroys itself. A Normal Spell Card is sent to the Graveyard after it's used anyway so you should change that part.

If you want to find good images, look for a Custom Image Archive in the Showcase Section on the home page. You can go to FatherWolf's YCM Image Archive(it's pinned near the top) to find several good Image Archives. Though one of the best places to get images is Jazin Kay's Image Archive on Photobucket. If you can't find an Image for a card, you may want to make a written version of the card and post it in Written Cards.

Here's just a couple tips:

Most people on this site don't like Vanillas(monsters with no effects). So unless they have a good description, I wouldn't advise you to make too many Vanillas.

Double Deprivation is a Field Spell but it only effects your opponent. Usually Field Spells effect both players. You should change it into a Continuous Spell Card.

Overall your not that bad but not that great either. But most New Members aren't very good at first, but they get better over time. Just keep making cards and listen to the advise of other members.

if worded correctly silent hitman #2 is a little op. its loop effect of reviving over and over and destroying a card each time until removed from play is a little too much for a monster with that much ATK. if you still want the same kind of effect IMO i think the effect should go aomething like this : When this card is sent to the graveyard as ( either a result of battle or opponents card effect >your choice< both is a bit much) randomly select one card in your opponents hand and call the type of card ( Monster, Spell, or Trap). If you call it right special summon this card at the end of the battle phase.
