Northern Sage
The card used for this summon is not banned, unlike Holy Angel of Will.
Lore: This card cannot be normal summoned or set. This card can only be special summoned by the effect of "Mystic Tomato". This card's ATK becomes equal to the amount of search cards in your graveyard x300. Once per turn, you can remove 1 "Mystic Tomato" in your graveyard to destroy one defense-position card on the field and inflict effect damage to your opponent equal to the monster's original DEF. This card's DEF cannot change. The effect of this card cannot be negated. During the main phase of your turn, you have to send the top card of your deck to your graveyard. If you can't, this card is destroyed.
Large wall of text is large. There, that should be good.
I would say that it is somewhat overpowered, but since Mystic Tomato's effect can't summon it anyway, there's no way to get it onto the field, so I guess it's fine. 800 ATK per search card doesn't seem like too much, but in reality it wouldn't be hard to get 20+ of them in your graveyard really quickly...because they can search for each other. Still, does "search cards" mean any cards which allow a user to search for something, or cards with "Search" in their name, like "Search Striker"? if it's the first one, the attack increase would be too high, and if it's the second, I'll assume you're making more cards to go along with this.
Normally, it might be okay, but there's no way to stop people from loading decks full of search cards like Toon Table of Contents, Gather Your Mind, Bubonic Vermin, and all the other monsters that can search for more of themselves when destroyed. Not to mention the newer "Tech Genus" monsters that can all search for any Tech Genus monster when they are destroyed. I think if you lower it enough that it would be difficult to reach 8000 for a OTK, this card would be fun to use.
This Account is Unplayable
Mystic Tomato, and any searcher that specifies an ATK or DEF limit cannot search for a monster with ? ATK. Change it to 0 ATK instead. Also that increase does need some severe lowering. For example, I summon Shining Angel, use his effect, get another, and another, now I get Nova Summoner with it, and another, and another and now lets say Hecatrice. Ok, that's 7 Searchers. Next I'll play my Lonefire Blossom, use it to get another, then a Mystic Tomato, then use Mystic Tomato to get another and another and then this. So far that's 12 searchers, excluding any possible other cards (e.g. Terraforming, Pot of Duality [Technically searches], Gold Sarcophagus, you get the picture.) So with just them monsters gone that makes this card a 9600 ATK beat-stick. I'd suggest severely lowering the raise. Also, you may want to word it as "This card's ATK becomes equal to the amount of cards in your graveyard that can allow you to search for other cards in your deck x[whatever ATK you choose]". I'm not entirely sure whether this would be correct, but it'd be what I would assume.
