Master Red Posted April 20, 2011 Report Share Posted April 20, 2011 So I wanted to try something different and this is an idea that has been going through my mind for a while. It's a new subtype that exists in ones Extra Deck, called Time. Time Monsters (will be) Green and can only be summoned on specific turns and if you Time Summon you cannot conduct a Normal Summon or Set during that turn. A ruling for Time Monsters, that is not on the cards (maybe that should be added to them?) is that you can only conduct 1 Time Summon per turn. This is to prevent that you suddenly can Time Summon 5 monsters to the field without tributing/removing from play/paying LP etc. I hope to get input on how to improve these cards and how to balance the unbalanced ones. This card cannot attack your opponent directly. While this card is face-up on the field, you can negate the activation of your opponent's Spell and Trap cards by returning 1 card on your side of the field to your hand. When this card is destroyed, it is returned to the Extra Deck. Once per turn, search your Deck for a Spell Card and remove it from play, add it to your hand during your next Standby Phase. When this card is destroyed, it is returned to the Extra Deck. When this card is destroyed, it is returned to the Extra Deck. You can remove this card from play until your next Standby Phase in order to destroy 1 card on the field, the controller of that card Draws 1 card. speedster2010 Posted April 20, 2011 Report Share Posted April 20, 2011 The Time Summon idea is unique but not too overpowered, since it replaces a normal summon. One problem though: someone can normal summon then time summon, so it would be fairly easy to swarm. Also, a lot of these cards lockdown the field, and the deck would be too overpowered, even if the time summon idea is not. Master Red Posted April 20, 2011 Author Report Share Posted April 20, 2011 No, if you Normal Summon or Set you can obviously not Time Summon a monster. The card states you can't Normal Summon or Set furing a turn you Time Summon and that means that if you have Normal Summoned or Set already you can't bring a Time monster out. They do lock down the field, but all of them lock down the owner's field so your opponent is not affected by that. Perhaps I messed up the wording or forgot to add that it was on YOUR side of the field or something so that's why. ^^* Anyways, thanks for rating and review Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
