So I get to locals and pay my entry fee and they give me 2 packs of HA04. I pull Jurrac Meteor and Landoise (:D)

I look at the pairings for round 1 and notice i'm against my friend, who's playing GKs.

Round 1 - Gravekeepers

Game 1:
He wins the die roll and starts by pitching commandant for Necrovalley. Then sets a Spy and activates Royal Tribute.
I discard 2 Cerburrel and 1 Ganashia.

He sets 2 backrow and ends. I trunade. Set the rest of my hand and sync into Ragin, draw 2. I discard Ganashia for Chawa to bring back Ganashia and sync for Unicore. I then beat him down and he can't do anything because I have outs to his recruiters and Descendants.

Game 2:
He sets Spy, 2 backrow and ends. I draw really crappy and play conservatively while he beats me down with Spys and Necrovalley out. I eventually claw my way back. I then play Card Destruction and ditch 2 Cerburrel and 1 Ganashia (again) and sync a few times and bring out Ancient Sacred Wyvern I then proceed to wreck him further by bringing out Unicore to shut down his spells and traps.

yay 1-0

I end up pretty happy, knowing the I have a semi decent match-up against GKs.

Round 2 - Six Samurai :(

Game 1:
He pretty much draws the nuts (gateway, kageki + kagemusha), and ends turn 1 with some ridiculous field. I can only bring out Catastor and ram into his Kizan. Still with Shi En out. Next turn he rapes me some more.

Game 2:
We both draw really bad but he gets the upper hand eventually with a field of 3 Kizan and Hand and he pokes me for big damage. I summon Kinetic Soldier and beat him down for a while. Until he brings out Brio and wins.

1-1 :(
I couldn't help that match, next time I'm siding more six sam hate.

Round 3 - Dragunity

Game 1:
I MST all the Ravines that he throws at me, so he can't pull off any combos. He does pull out stardust that hurts for a while, but then I bring out Brionac and OTK.

Game 2:
He veilers my Ragin as I start to go off and then bring out Stardust and beats me down for a while, before pulling out Trident Dragion to OTK. |:

Game 3:
Can't really remember much about this. But I have Warnings to negate his Dux plays and MSTs for his Ravines, so I beat him down with Unicores and take the match.

Surprisingly tough match for me, but I pull through.

Round 4 - Disaster Dragon

Game 1: He first turn FuFus me, dumping 2 Wyverns and 2 REDMD with a Prime Material. He activates the Wyvern's effects and has 2 cards facedown. I MST his 7 Tools and then drop Dark Hole, only to have it Solemn'd. I set Jar and 2 backrow with Ganashia and Cerburrel in hand. He brings back Prime Material and attacks Jar, I bring out Cerburrel and Ganashia and he dumps Dark Hole, Warning and 2 other cards. He runs over Cerburrel. I summon discard Grimro to get Chawa and discard another Cerburrel to bring out Chawa. I sync a few times into Brionac and clear his field, having ditched Ganashia with Brionac I can Attack for game.

Game 2:
I bring in Veilers and they help considerably, and I manage to beat him down after using 3 Avarice in 1 turn to draw through most of my deck with Ragins.

3-1

Too easy.

Top 8 - X-Sabers

Game 1:
After making a sucessful jar play and making him lose a Boggart and 2 Darksoul from it I draw into a lot of what I need and summon Trish after making a ridiculous Nozoochee play that involved me discarding Ganashia to summon Nozoochee, summoning Chawa from my hand. Then playing Grimro to get Ganashia, then Monster Reincarnation to get Birdman back, then bounced Chawa for Birdman and brought out Trish, taking his facedown 7 Tools, an Emmersblade from his hand and Darksoul from his grave. I beat him down with Trish easily.

Game 2:
He brings out Gottoms seriously early and I have no answer to 3k attack. Could draw into making Brio :(

Game 3:
I side in Veilers again and they help a bunch, stopping Boggart Knight in his tracks, and then churning out a Ragin to run him over early game. I have Warnings to counter the Synchros he tries to throw at me and none of his none Synchro monsters can get over my Ragins, especially when I have 7 tools to help negate Mirror Force.

Top 4 - Six Samurai

Game 1:
I get Trish out really early against him and remove from play his Shi En, United from his hand and some random card from his grave, it all looks promising, before he trunades me and uses Dark Hole to blow up trish, then Syncs into Barkion and then takes it.

Game 2:
He brings out 2 Shi En in 2 turns, but it's to no Avail and I Sync into Ragin twice and then drop 2 Puppet Plants to steal them and attack for game.

Game 3:
I get nutted on as he brings out Barkion and and Shi En to rape me. He has Warnings and Book to stop anything I do so I lose.

Top 4 wasn't bad I thought.
Got 3 packs of HA04 and 2 of STOR in which I pull an Ulti Shi En and another Landoise (O_O)

My friend pulls his first Trish and I go home pretty happy.

There were quite a few GB players there and I was surprised that I didn't have to play any of them.
