I played Pearl.

 

And it sucked...

 

No seriously, I hated it. The wild pokemon are unbalanced, like in the ocean to Victory Road they were all 37-40, but at Victory Road they were like 40-45! Max. 7 levels diffirents!!!

The Pokemon league was also freaking overpowered, although I still beat them with my 50-53 pokemon team!!!

The other trainers are freaking wimps, I could easily beat them, even my pokemon didn't reached the recommened level.

It seems like the Wild pokemon are more powerfuller than the Trainers that are on THE SAME funking PLACE!!! Why? Why did they make them so easy?

And why the hell is the Galactix Boss so freaking overpowered? The grunts are so easy, but when you meet the boss, BAM!!!, it's like getting run over by a freaking train!

The snow part was also annoying as hell. Why? Because I kept walking into deep parts which slowed me down, so it took even longer to walk though that damn annoying area!

And waaaaaaaaaaaay to many HM's!!! Some are goods (like good old surf), but most of them even sucked so hard, they are a complete joke! Either way, my Gyarados ended up being a HM slave.

The only good and desent challange is that rival guy, becuase he always puts up a good fight and there is always a 50/50 change of winning against it, but the music was so annoying!

And the most important thing that most pokemon sucked... Yeah, they suck so freaking hard, it's laughable. Especially the starter, he was so freaking weak even it's final form. The only good pokemon I had were Starraptor and Gyarados, becuase Starraptor uses one of the most powerfull FIGHT attacks, so the can hurt Rock/Steel pokemon more easily and Gyarados is a powerfull beat stick. Hell, I even beat the champion with it while it was 51!

 

TL;DR: I hated it, becuase it was unbalanced

 

I say stick it to the 3rd generation.

I loved the game.

 

Personally I found it quite entertaining.

 

I don't know what you were talking about the game being unbalanced groundondjango. I thought the game was very well put together. Just because you couldn't put a team together early on that would keep you balanced throughout the game, isn't the games fault. You have to anticipate for every situation. I walked through the game the first time with Torterra and Staraptor, and Luxray. With those three alone I did enough damage against any opponent for the remaining three to take the heat.

 

The second time I went through the game I used Empoleon. He, by himself, was a brute against anything that moved.

 

Now, my third time redoing the game, I am using Infernape, along with Luxray and Staraptor, and am having no difficulties.

 

This is just as simple as the previous pokemon games. It's all about how you set your team up. After your team is set up properly, you'll dominate any playing field. And if you are irritated by the HM's, half of them you only need once during the whole game, so after that don't use them!

 

When you are going through that snowy area where its real slow, GO THROUGH IT ONCE. That's all that's required. And who cares if it takes you all day to get through it. What are you racing someone? Don't you know its quality over quantity? The more time you spend in an area, the higher your pokemon's level will get, the easier the game gets.

 

I don't even leave for my first gym badge in most cases until my starter is at leve 18. That way, no matter how much of a disadvantage it has against the gym leader, it will at the very least, do significant damage to it.

 

All I'm saying, its up to the trainer to make the game easier. Its not the game's fault you can't build a team correctly.

I had a Gyarados, Luxray, Rapidash, Graveler, Turtwig (I forgot the name of the last form) and Staraptor. How's this team not good? Mostly balanced and have attacks that contain Pokemon are weak agains, like Luxray's Crunch is super activate against Psychic and Ghost Pokemon and Gyarados' Blizzard that is super activate Grass Pokemon
