Stan Alda
I've been kicking around the astrophysics and cosmology areas of Wikipedia for the past few hours, and I'm fascinated by the concepts of stellar remnants: the...things that remain after a star collapses. The reason I said "things" is that stellar remnants are just plain weird. White dwarfs are simple enough; they're mostly burned-out stars. But stars entirely made of neutrons, or heaven forbid, quarks? Black holes? Starquakes? Scary stuff. So, it's only natural to apply dense astrophysics to children's' card games! Hence the Supernova Remnant set. This (so far, very small) set is composed of various star-like things that form in the wake of a dying star. To summon them, you must remove one of your own monsters from play with "Monster Supernova". Level 5 or lower gives you a weak white dwarf, but level 9 or higher produces a full-blown black hole. All of the "Supernova Remnants" cannot be destroyed by any battle or effects (except, in the case of White Dwarf, its own), take no damage from battle, but have 0 ATK and DEF and can't attack themselves. Needless to say, they can't do too much on their own, so they're better used to throw a wrench into your enemy's plans while you plan something out. ragnarok1945
well it's not THAT hard to get this Black Hole onto the field certainly fits the definition of a black hole for sucking everything in even so, lv12 with 0/0 is too low for stats, since you didn't say it can't take battle damage, so I'd raise the stats higher 7/
Stan Alda
"Black Hole"'s effect changed to ignore damage calculation completely. The Lvl 12 thing was just a reference to a black hole's mass. "Supernova Remnant: Neutron Pulsar" added. For each card's effect, I'm trying to find a characteristic of the given star and translate it to an effect. In this case, it's the "lighthouse effect": the electromagnetic beam of a pulsar changes direction because the pulsar rotates. The idea is that the emission beam only faces the opponent's side of the field every other turn.

Supernova Remnant: Neutron Pulsar LIGHT Lvl 9 Psychic/Effect This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. Every other turn, destroy 1 random monster on your opponent's side of the field. 2000/2000

And, for good measure, I added a particularly weird monster: "Supernova Remnant: Quark Star". It's only available by tributing "Neutron Pulsar", but has a completely different effect. Read this Wikipedia article for a the reasoning behind this card's effect.

Supernova Remnant: Quark Star DIVINE Lvl 10 Psychic/Effect This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. DIVINE has no real support cards, so your opponent wouldn't be able to prop his new quarkified monster with anything.
Stan Alda
Hello? Anyone?
Stan Alda
I've gotten the last monster done; while the smallest, it was also the toughest to complete. "Supernova Remnant: White Dwarf" is basically a means to get more "Supernova Remnants". Its effect is based on a type 1a supernova, in which a white dwarf absorbs matter and energy from a nearby star, then explodes when it reaches a certain limit.

Supernova Remnant: White Dwarf LIGHT Lvl 7 Psychic/Effect This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. In addition, "Monster Supernova" requires a Level 9 or higher monster for a "Black Hole", rather than a level 8, and the "Neutron Pulsar"-summoning effect is rewritten to make it clearer. ragnarok1945
shame they all have stats of 0/0, I was hoping for higher the Spell has a nice searching ability, I like it that way to get them out quick, so I'll give your new ones 9/

Thanks for the rate, though.

They're meant to be a slow, passive defense while other monsters do the main offense. As for the spoiler tags, I think it's easier to navigate and more orderly. If you don't like it, that's fine, but that's my way of doing things. Thanks for the rate anyway.
Cool, But a few OCG errors.
I had a hunch I had forgotten some. Would you mind pointing them out? Just out of curiosity, Bakugan, what did you like about them?
