1. 1. Should this subtype have its own card color? (Current Color: Yellow-Green, HSV 75/100/0)

    • Yes. Keep it as yellow-green.
    • No. It should be the standard Effect Monster Red.
    • Yes, but I think yellow-green is a bad idea. I have the HSV values of a color that would be better.
    • Yes, but I think yellow-green is a bad idea. I have a different color idea, but I don't know the HSV values for that color.

I'm planning to make a Dissolvent Monster for each Attribute for now. Maybe after that, I'll make one for each type.

Place 3 Spell Counters on this card. When you activate this monster's Dissolver Effect, remove 1 Spell Counter from this card. This monster cannot activate its Dissolver Effect unless it has 1 or more Spell Counters on it. When this monster has no Spell Counters on it, you can pay 800 Life Points to place 3 Spell Counters on this card.

Now I've got at least 1 Dissolvent for each Attribute! This card is this first of a series of LV monsters; I'll get the rest up later today/tonight. I've got a busy day ahead of me, so I'll get them in when I can.

Actually, I like the idea of these cards. If you added these monsters into an already good mill deck, it could easily beat anyone. This vs. Lightsworn = death in 5- turns XD...

ALSO, you don't need to recolor them... You don't see Tuner monsters or Spirit monsters with, say, dark grey background, or even brown...

I'm surprised you gave F4 a better effect than F5

It should have been the other way around
They have the exact same effect. F4's effect appears longer because it also has the summoning requirements for F5. The only real difference between the two is F5 has 300 more ATK.

One of my Russian contacts, Mikhail Ushanka, learned of this hobby of mine and wanted to be in a card. Well, little does he know that being put into a card is the Yu-Gi-Oh equivalent of being buried alive, and I've wanted to bury that cold-hearted bastard ever since he locked me in a meat freezer for 3 full days! I had to eat the raw beef and drink my own urine to survive!

And so it's only appropriate to make his card not only diametrically opposed to Dissolvents, but also too weak to handle the big guys like Apophis and F5 Windburn Tornado. Mikhail--if you're reading this--this one's for you...and I hope you actually get trapped in this card. Consider it poetic justice.

For those not interested in my plan of vengeance, I also made a simple chemistry-themed anti-Dissolvent Spell. However, its picture isn't uploading properly, and I can almost guarantee its OCG is incorrect.

it looks just like a regular fish, not a scoprionfish

500 def boost is a little too simple, you should have boosted the atk AND def
It's a scorpionfish. Trust me. They just don't look a whole lot like scorpions, or even fish; they generally look more like rocks. And I only meant DEF for a reason; they only sting in self-defense, and I think I needed a decent defensive Dissolvent. What about the anti-support cards?

I've mad some big changes here.

1. Due to a tight schedule, I'll only be able to update on Fridays. I'll try to have an update every Friday, but don't count on it.
2. Now called Dissolver subtype. According to Spellcheck, "dissolvent" is not a word, but according to thesaurus.com, it is. A paradox!
3. Poll added to handle Sirty_stan's color problem. I personally think it should stay 75/100/0 Yellow-Green, but I'm open for suggestions.
4. As a temporary solution, I will make Standard Effect Monster Red editions of all the recolored Dissolvers (Fusions don't count). All 75/100/0 Yellow-Green Dissolvent Monsters will have 1st Edition circulation. Standard Effect Monster Red will have no circulation, as usual with my cards.
5. Chem-Warrior's level knocked down to 4. This is intended to make its effect less out-of-place and more like a genuine weakness.
6. The good part: added a pair of Anti-Support cards.

I'm still curious where these new pics you're pulling them from.......
I get roughly 90% of my pics from Google Images, then mod them on GIMP. Toxin Drainage Machine and Overpressure Explosion, however, were made totally from scratch on GIMP, save for the barrel's texture. I got that texture as a free tileable background.

Aww, look at the little platypus!...wait a minute, platypuses (or platypi) are venomous? Indeed. I wanted to make a more defense-oriented Dissolver, as well as a cute little companion to Des Koala. It's the perfect combination!

...that is, it would be if you could see the actual card. However, the uploader keeps inserting "Paralyzer Krait" instead of the actual "Des Koala" card; i.e., the uploader thinks a hemotoxin-injecting platypus and a neurotoxin-injecting snake are the same thing. Argh!

Due to the change I announced last week, there will be no yellow-green version of this, and all following, Dissolver card(s).

On a whim, I decided to make a woefully underpowered half-Dissolver, half-Watt monster. Hence "Wattshrew". I know it's not going to really do anything effective, but I thought the original image was cute, so I decided to butcher it.

By the way, I'll be updating on Wednesdays, rather than Fridays. Fridays have been switched to...experiments. It's all on the Q.T.

Hope you don't mind if I post these cards. I like the idea and a made two cards that may be good for future cards.

Finally, someone made some more of these! They seem pretty good, except for 1 thing: Judging by its lore, I assume "Wicked Revenant" is a Spirit Monster, as opposed to a Spirit-type monster (which would be a faketype). If it is a Spirit Monster, its type field should read "REAL type (I'm thinking Spellcaster)/Dissolver/Spirit".

Otherwise, they seem pretty well balanced, although "Wicked Revenant" seems somewhat overpowered. I'd suggest this: "Once per duel, while this card is in your Graveyard, during the Main Phase, you can Special Summon this card with this effect: 'When this card leaves the field, your opponent must discard 1 card and send 2 cards from the top of his/her Deck.'" That way, it doesn't start out by banishing a monster right off the bat, but can still get its Dissolver effect going when it leaves. "Hellbound Enforcer" is just fine as it is.
