The HP Doom Image Archive Tribute Collection | 3/???|

I went to the showcase forum and came across HP Doom's archives, and the images were lovely. I'd like to use every single one in some sort of summer project, but I would not wish to poorly use those images in bad cards, so it will likely take quite some time. In my excitement over such an idea, I've created the first card, though it will certainly be redone later, as I doubt it is as good as I want it to be. Well, I've also got a tournament to do, though my Frog combo Custom Cards will have to wait until I find the proper image for my final card. Enough text you likely will not read, here is the card:

Effect:
This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can be Special Summoned from your hand when your opponent controls 2 or more monsters and you control none. The ATK of this card is equal to the number of monsters your opponent controls x1000. When you control another monster, this card cannot be selected as the target of an attack. By Tributing a Level 3 or higher DARK monster, this card gains 1000 ATK (permanently) (Max. 3000). When this card destroys a monster by battle, you can place 1 Blade Counter (Max. 3) on this card. You can remove 3 Blade Counters from this card to Special Summon 1 "Challenger Token" (Fiend-Type/DARK/Level 3/ATK 1000/DEF 1000) on your opponent's field. This card cannot be used as a Tribute.

The added no-Tribute clause is really to protect against Reptilianne whats-her-face... I like the concept, but I dislike how I've come to execute it, and am working on a new effect already. I'd like for all of these images to be used in individual cards, so you likely won't find any combos between these Custom cards. I'll likely do some research into the current meta, as I haven't played in ages, and create more versatile cards the further I get into this.

Effect:
1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters
This card is also treated as a Beast-Type monster. When this card is Summoned, you can Special Summon 2 "Catalyst Tokens" (Machine-Type/LIGHT/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) on your side of the field. These tokens cannot be used for the Synchro Summon of a Level 6 or higher monster. A monster Synchro Summoned using a "Catalyst Token" gains 1000 ATK for the turn it was Summoned, and a monster Synchro Summoned using this card cannot be targeted by your opponent's card effects for the turn it was Summoned.

It looked like something just waiting to be put into a Synchro monster, and it gets two tokens out on the field that can be used for other low-level synchro-tuners or for Tribute. Hope it's nice.

Effect:
When this card is Normal Summoned, you gain life points equal to the total ATK of the Tributed monsters. You can pay 1000 Life Points to select 1 monster your opponent controls and return it to their hand. When this card destroys a monster by battle, gain Life Points equal to the destroyed monster's DEF.

The image screamed Psychic to me, but I don't think I've done it justice by putting that effect on it. Expect a revision later.

picked a bad time to be reminded of the card name, after scoping the sclegacy threads

just to make sure, you're saying the 1000 atk gain off the DARK monster effect means it can only gain a max of 3000 this way, right?

Well the token will give your opponent synchro food, so that's good

Me, I would have dropped the 1000 atk gain to 500 atk gain, mainly because when you summon this, it'll have at least 2000 atk. You factor in the discard DARK monster effect, it'll go up to 5000, and that's too much

If you make it 500 atk gain and a max of 1500, the max it'll go is 3500, well within lv8 standards

I'm not certain how to word how this works.

The Permanent gain means it is unable to lose that ATK, even if there are fewer monsters on the field.

Say you Tribute two monsters, giving it 2000ATK.

If your opponent controls no monsters, it will still have 2000

If they control 1 monster, it will have 2000, as it now has a base attack, so its effect making the attack 1000 is now overruled.

If they control 2 monsters, it is 2000.

With 3 monsters, it continues it's normal effect, so it would be 3000.

It's limit means the base ATK can max out at 3000, though it won't go any higher unless your opponent has 4 or 5 monsters. This card is supposed to be a silent, intimidating thing, as I felt the picture best seemed. It's attack should not go past 3000, as it is really meant to scare your opponent from swarming while leaving you with no need to fill up the field to quickly, so a Brain Control won't have you looking at the 4000ATK beatstick that was snatched from you.

change only 1 thing about your 2nd card

"When a monster Synchro Summoned using a "Catalyst Token" gains 1000 ATK for the turn it was Summoned, and a monster Synchro Summoned using this card cannot be targeted by your opponent's card effects for the turn it was Summoned."

I would have said that synchro monster you can only choose ONE of the two effects, not both

Well, depending on the monster you're trying to Synchro Summon, I suppose it could get pretty powerful using this card and its tokens to bring out something, though it would only be superpowered for a turn. I'll also fix that part of the OCG.
