Lonk
Broken. It still is outrageous deck-thinning and is abusive with Fableds. Link to comment
marcher boyz
That's a slightly tweaked Graceful Charity which gives you a plus if you draw Gorz. Link to comment

Cloister
Edited the effect a little... Link to comment
marcher boyz
That's so much better, now it's only a slightly tweaked Graceful Charity which gives you a plus if you draw JD or Coel. Link to comment
.Rai
Would be more balanced as "Discard 2, draw 2". Link to comment
Baroque in Paradise
Why was Graceful banned?
Most likely because of a few factors. 1) Exodia Decks do not care about the 'discard 2 cards', so long as they're able to draw more cards -- eventually it'll end in an Exodia anyways, so what's one or two discarded cards (especially when cards like Dark Factory of Mass Production further reduce the impact). 2) Lots of deck archetypes nowadays tend to function well with discarding cards. Be they Fableds, Lightsworns ("Hey, I discard these two from my hand, I can get out JD! Super!"), Infernities, or even Zombies. (Heck, even JUNK SYNCHRON can function quicker with a Graceful Charity played before you summon it.) 3) It's 3 cards drawn. That's 3 more cards that can be useful, and 3 less cards that could be dead or useless draws. All in all, when Graceful was made it was a big cost, but nowadays it's a potential win-win situation. FF Fan
I need it for my Skull servants and some other cards that's legal seem better than it. Link to comment
Baroque in Paradise
I need it for my Skull servants and some other cards that's legal seem better than it.
Seem better than it in terms of getting Skull Servants to the Graveyard? I wouldn't doubt it. But Graceful was able to go into just about any deck and grant them 3 cards from deck lickety-split at what, in the current metagame, was no longer a severe cost but in some cases a serious gain (as with said Skull Servants), which I imagine contributed to its current position on the lists. To put it bluntly, it's a case of Too Much Of A Good Thing for too many different deck types (read: almost all of them) . . . Which, to be on-topic, makes the current effect for the card proposed in this thread something way out-there. Even now I think it ought to get curtailed some, possibly by changing how much is discarded, what's discarded (e.g., Zombie Master requires you to discard a Monster Card to use its effect), how much you get from the effect, or some combination of the above. marcher boyz
Would be more balanced as "Discard 2, draw 2".
A slightly better Hand Destruction or even another Hand Destruction is insane with all the viable ftks we have. Link to comment
.Rai
True, but this card basically has been made for these FTKs. Otherwise he'll have to scrap the whole concept. Link to comment
marcher boyz
FTKs shouldn't get support. However, an anti-burn/ exodia clause would still make "ditch 2, draw 2" playable in fableds or something. Link to comment
.Rai
A clause saying, "You cannot win the Duel this turn" sounds ridiculous. I agree that FTKs should have no support since they're annoying and really consistent already but that would mean redoing the card. Link to comment
marcher boyz
"You cannot activate Effect Monster effects from your hand the turn you actuvate this card." or something, idk the OCG. ffs, I just remembered how Exodia works.
I agree that FTKs should have no support since they're annoying and really consistent already
good
but that would mean redoing the card.
so, that's like saying that this BUHRRR HUHHR Normal Spell You win the duel. Shouldn't be changed because it "would mean redoing the card." Link to comment
.Rai
When I say that, I mean : "This should have never been made". Link to comment
marcher boyz
Wait, I've got this. Urn of BAW Normal Spell Card Discard 2 cards. Then, draw 2 cards and reveal your hand. Discard all Spell and Monster Cards in your hand. Sort of Dark World support too, yay. Link to comment
.Rai
So basically better Dark World Dealings exclusive to Dark Worlds? Link to comment
marcher boyz
It's mostly Fabled support tbh. DWD doesn't raep you when you draw spells or need you to set your hand. Link to comment
