[M.D.] Testing a Theory

As the title says, this is very much a work in progress, so suggestions will be welcomed. And as the description says, this is a Ritual Monster that cannot be Ritual Summoned. Or Summoned in general. Or Set.

See what you make of it.

Effect: This card can only be placed on the field by the effect of "Insidious Eruption". This card is unaffected by the effects of your opponent's Trap Cards. Once per turn, you can select 1 Level 3 or lower "Occult" monster in your Graveyard that was Tributed, and place it on the field in face-up Attack Position.

Effect: Select 1 "Narakan" Ritual Monster in your Graveyard and Tribute monsters from your hand or side of the field whose total Levels equal or exceed the selected monster's Level. Then. place the selected monster on the field face-up. You can discard 1 Ritual Monster to return this card in your Graveyard to your hand. Once per duel, while this card is in the Graveyard, when you place a Ritual Monster from your Graveyard onto the field, you can return 1 of your banished Ritual Monsters to your Graveyard.

+ some Support:

Effect: If this card is used as a Tribute for a Ritual Monster that must be Ritual Summoned from the Graveyard, or is Tributed by the effect of Spell Card that places a Ritual Monster on your side of the field from your Graveyard, that Ritual Monster gains the following effect: * When this monster inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent, increase that damage by an amount equal to the number of non-Synchro "Occult" monsters in your Graveyard x 100.

The Ritual monster is quite unique, and I really like it. It's effect is extremely useful (as I presume there are more Occult monsters), and it can be used in multiple situations. And the system can be regenerated, somewhat (it may require a few turns) something that can be a lifesaver in a stressful situation. It's very useful, and I really like that.

And it isn't overpowered much either. You put a lot of work into your cards, or your just extremely good. Can I see some more of these "Occult" cards, if you have any?

There are, at the moment, three "Occult" sub-archetypes ("Scientia" [Death Synchro support], "Ethereal" [Death/D. Synchro support], "Asuri" [Death Ritual support]), along with the original "Occult" [Death Fusion support] archetype.

Thanks for rating.

Here's a selection of the newest "Occult" monsters:

Effect: When this card is Normal Summoned, shuffle your Extra Deck. Then, add the top card of your Extra Deck to the top of your Graveyard. If this card is in the Graveyard, and you control a Synchro Monster which was Synchro Summoned from the Graveyard, you can banish this card and 2 other "Occult" monsters in your Graveyard to shuffle your opponent's Extra Deck and banish the top card of your opponent's Extra Deck face-down, until your opponent's End Phase.

Effect: When this card is Summoned from your hand while you control another non-Synchro Fairy-Type monster, you can select 1 Level 5 or lower monster in your Extra Deck and add it to your banished cards. If this card is used for a Synchro Summon, the Synchro Monster you wish to Summon can be banished.

Effect: Once per duel, if you control a face-up "Occult Scientia" monster, you can Special Summon this card from your Removed from Play Zone. If this card is used for a Synchro Summon, you can treat this card as a non-Tuner monster and the Synchro Monster you wish to Summon can be in the Graveyard.

Effect: If this card is Summoned from your hand, it cannot be used as a Synchro Material Monster. You can Set this card face-down in your Spell & Trap Card Zone as a Trap Card. At the start of either player's Battle Step, you can activate this card's effect. During the turn this card is activated, when an "Occult Scientia" Synchro Monster you control attacks an opponent's monster, you can flip that monster into face-down Attack Position.

Effect: If this card is used as a Tribute for a Ritual Monster that must be Ritual Summoned from the Graveyard, or is Tributed by the effect of Spell Card that places a Ritual Monster on your side of the field from your Graveyard, that Ritual Monster gains the following effect: * At the start of your Battle Phase, you can select 1 random card in your opponent's hand and banish it face-down, until the end of the Battle Phase.
I like the idea. I would like to see you expand on this if at all possible, and possibly make it a set. The idea is creative (as usual from you) and I want to see more! 10/10

Well, me expanding this all depends on people's reactions to it. So, given the positive response, I'll definately start work. Thanks for rating.

impressive art work, Max

It's pretty good to see a ritual spell that does more than just summon the ritual monster, don't see many of those every day, I like it a lot

9.9/10

Glad you like it.

So the idea was mill the Ritual to the Graveyard, then SSit. Im not sure but that Ritual Monster from Graveyard placed onto the field seems a SS for me
It's not a Special Summon since it is specifically 'placed' on the field; in the same way "Destiny Board" and "The First Sarcophagus" 'place' their subsequent parts on the field. The placed cards don't count as being activated, in the same way this doesn't count as being Summoned.
