Another Locals Report

[b]Friday:[/b]

I play a little minecraft on my friends server, play a little ygo and then go to work. My teammate isn't at work so it sucks, but i get out and go swimming. I drop a Pot of Avarice from the Main deck to make it 40, then play a few more games. I do OKAY but I wanted to do better. I didnt get to test Bulb or Unknown Synchron so it sucks. I go to bed at like 3am ish because I was talking to mad people on facebook.

[b]Saturday[/b]

I get up at 9 am, and do my work around the house I need to. Do laundry, and take a shower. I get dressed and hyped for the tourny...I had a feeling epicosity would be thrown down at the dueling tables. Me and my bro head out to our locals, and Im getting a headache. I buy a box of EXVC, a Zephyarous and my tourny entry and im all set. I pull a Blue Rose Dragon, Life Stream Ulti, TG Buster Blaster, Essedari, Safe Zone, Debunk, and that Psychic Super rare. I'm pretty hyped right now, thats the second blue rose i pulled(sold the other for 25) out of my boxes, along w/ Buster Blaster. I needed the Essedari, Safe Zone and Debunk so I was like . I borrow an Armory Arm Brionac, Solemn Judgment and Warnings from my teammates. Play a few more games and I'm set for the tourny. Pairings go up soon after

[b]Round 1[/b]: Ben(karakuris) vs ???(Dark worlds) Table 6

Game 1: I run into Dark Resonator...lol. He trys to do stuff and I got outs. He's mad. I style all over him with my synchro shenanigans. I punch through a ton of damage and he can't recover
Game 2: I straight up misplay badly as he drops a Red Dragon Archfiend over my stardust(should have went into Bureido). I lose because I can't handle RDA. =/
Game 3: I draw Haipa and attack him for two turns. He cant make any good plays because I have outs to force his outs. We both get low on cards and he ends up RFGing my only monsters Kuick and Haipa. He plays Gateway of the Dark World to get back Goldd and hits me. I draw my second Showdown Castle and end. He draws Dark World Dealings and gets the 1600 monster out(he was in topdeck mode) I draw into Reborn and I discard Avarice. He puts me down to 800. I'm like, BELIEVE IN NEXUS and I draw Karakuri Soldier(recruiter). My face when: http://www.myfacewhen.com/32/ I play reborn on his dark resonator, summon soldier go into Burei, get Kuick and pull it out from there. I admit I sacked him hard, and his friends hate me for it(jokingly of course !)

I breathe a sigh of relieve, me and my teammates all win. My friend from College who plays MTG also wins stuff(he gets 5th in the draft or whatever he was in, getting 6 packs iirc). I talk to my friends and the store owner asks us for pizza orders. my and my friend mike both get Chicken Riggies, which are always mad good. Some judge shenangians happens, and the end result is that there was no accident. I lol'd.

Round 2:[/b] Ben(karakuris) vs Dan(Sabers) table 4

OH SNAP I have to play my bro. I dont really remember this match too much. My headache gets really bad.

Game 1: I take it easily and I shut him off with Naturia Landiose. He also draws really bad I think. I dont remember this game.
Game 2: I bring him down to less than 2000, but he has the Saber Shenanigans and gets over my outs. Oh well.
Game 3: I bring out Beast first turn. He has a handful of spells and useless cards against my backfield. I sacked hard. Sorry bro.

More talk w/ friends. Teammates all win. We get more hype. It's cash. we have to wait like over 9000 minutes for other people to finish up. Judges also give us 10 mins after matchs to do stuff. Lul.

[b]Round 3[/b]: Ben(Karakuris) vs Mike(Sabers) table 1

My 2 two teammates are at table 2, and we realize this. We all hug before this round starts(even mike ) to commerate the top players all playing at the top tables. Get hyyyppppeeeee.

Game 1: He has Gorz in hand(off Duality) but I play around it and put him in a position where he can't drop Gorz without losing and I win because of it.
Game 2: I naturally don't have a game 2. It's basically why I lose most of my games. =/ He draws and plays Duality, gets emmers. I NoC it out. I still lose as he has da nutz. I switch more side cards out.
Game 3: I go nutz and put Stardust + 2 Burei on board. He cant answer it and I take it the game easy. I also NoC an emmers again. Lol. Sorry bro. Legit games though, Intense ygo was had.

My teammate Matt wins over Chris and its all good. Pizza and stuff come in. Me and Mike eat at table one with double riggies. everyone was jelly. After we get done eating, round 4 gets paired up. Like 2 seconds after.

Round 4[/b]: Ben(Karakuris) vs Matt(Sabers) Table 1

Loool this game doesnt matter, but we still play it out.

Game 1: It goes back and forth. I have Komachi out, and I summon Kuick, he torrentials. I try to normal summon for Komachis effect but Matt says I cant. I call a judge over. Judge comes over, I ask him, he immediately says no. I appeal. Headjudge comes over and says I can't. I try to explain that its a condition that lasts. Doesn't matter, as they say I still cant. I lose next turn to Emmers. :/
Game 2: I don't remember, but I think I OTK. It doesn't matter though lol. I side out stuff because I think he wont set cards, so NoC comes out.
Game 3: I draw the nutz...but he has DA NUTZ to counter mine. Very good yugioh though. Much props to Matt.

Waiting sucks and I get in top 8, which looks like this

[b]Top 8[/b]

Game 1: It goes back and forth, and I wear him down so he can't go off.
Game 2: He opens one set monster. I open 4 backrow cards, including Gozen match(sided in) and I flip it up in his draw phase. Nick wants a judges question on how it works. Takes forever, and its all good though. He has to play around it and RFGs Gozen Match with Caius. He makes a very good push, but he leaves me with a Kuick. I am able to recover from that and get a Burei and an soldier. He cant recover. he tries to bring back frog, I chain Chain Disappearance, he chains econ to take my Burei, tries to revive frog, I drop Crow from hand. He sets a monster and swings into my soldier. I get Kuick. I win after this.

Peter and ??? want to split but I want to play out. Matt doesn't care. Its me vs ??? and Peter vs Matt. Matt wins in 3 I think, and goes to top 2.

[b]Top 4[/b]

Game 1: He Sarcs for future fusion. I try to fight back but he wears me down and I cant comeback.
Game 2: He plays Oppression turn 2. I cringe, but like 2 weeks ago, I dont sychro or special summon. I poke for damage to wear him down. I summon Nanashick(5 star Karakuri) and get a +2 off it. I play anatomy, draw 2 more off of Switches, and I win.
Game 3: He opens Future Fusion and sets 3. I draw Terribly and even though I try he has Reborn for REDMD to get back Draguntiy Levitian(sp). Yay losing to Future Fusion + Reborn

Matt and ??? split for 1st, I split with Peter for 3rd. I get junk out of my turbo 5 packs.

Overall great day, just disappointed I got sacked in the last game.
