Went over to see lost sanctuary prices, but decided not to buy as I could trade the common solemns and bfaad. [u] Round 1.[/u] Ice barrier Game 1: He gets a decent play with the spirit guy, which sets me back. I can't do much because he has the stall card out. I soon draw into nebula, and he doesn't have an answer to king so I take the game relatively straight forward from there. Game 2: Much like game 1, I kill him off with xex and triforce fairly quickly. 1-0 [u]Round 2.[/u] Burn Oh noez, worst match up. Game 1: His spell cards really f*ck me over and mist wurm doesn't help much. Game 2: Was so close, ended up annihilating his spells, but he keeps on using old man and other stuff and kills me off. 1-1 [u]Round 3.[/u] Wanghu/Burden Game 1: He locks me with the combo early game, luckily yagan helps me and I soon get triforce and king to finish him. Game 2: He momonga's quite well, and his green baboons help him. I get nebula quite early and use king to get rid of the main threats and soon attack for game. 2-1 At this point some random rich kid was crying because he bought 10 HA04 and didn't get trish. And by rich kid, I mean the sort of rich-kid-that-parents-buy-him-3 shien-and-3 kizan type of kid. [u]Round 4.[/u] Zombie (lightsworn variant) Game 1: He kills me with dad, wulf and other stuff relatively easily. Game 2: I stop all his major plays with traps and soon finish him off with triforce. Game 3: He nearly gets a good dad play, but I mess him up. He comes back with a synch, which I solemn. We go into time and he has higher LP because of my solemn 2-2 [u]Round 5.[/u] CB Game 1: I draw like crap, he kills me soon. Game 2: I have an answer to all his plays, he can't do anything and I kill him off with xex and cartaros. Game 3: Gozen match really hurts him, I take the game easily. 3-2. I found out my friend topped, he ended up 2nd with Vayu Turbo. Lightsworn won the event with sabers second. Overall had a good time, and got most of the stuff I needed for my chaos plant deck.
