Why? They don't grow. At the basic level, computers are the dumbest things on the planet. They have massive processing power, but no intelligence whatsoever. The only reason they seem smart is because they can do the same things we can, only a lot faster, but you have to remember that we have to tell them how to do it in the first place. hexcalibrate Posted June 17, 2011 Author Report Share Posted June 17, 2011 i'm fully aware with what autistics are capable of, i myself being one, we are still capable of socail and emotional functioning, we are just wired differently. i myself am being repeatedly told i just see the world differently, despite this obvioussly being patronization it is still a valid arguement. [/quote] The human body is nothing but an organic machine composed of parts we don't fully understand. You could argue that the feelings we feel are simulated seeing as they're solely a result of the construction of our brains. The human body, like any machine, is made of different parts that work together to perform a function. Likewise, with the advancement of medical science, I don't see why people won't eventually be able to construct a machine to perform the same functions as a human.
