Computers/Robots will never have Artificial Intelligence. Why? They don't grow.

At the basic level, computers are the dumbest things on the planet. They have massive processing power, but no intelligence whatsoever. The only reason they seem smart is because they can do the same things we can, only a lot faster, but you have to remember that we have to tell them how to do it in the first place.

so what if it is more than unlikely, when they built the hadron colider, people still **** themselves over the 1 in a billion prospect of a black, i say if it's possible give the idea a try.

The reason Autistics do not function well in society because they are computer-like - they have enormous processing power and fantastic processing minds, but lack any kind of social or emotional intelligence. There is a reason why even the best computers can't pass the Turing Test.

i'm fully aware with what autistics are capable of, i myself being one, we are still capable of socail and emotional functioning, we are just wired differently. i myself am being repeatedly told i just see the world differently, despite this obvioussly being patronization it is still a valid arguement.

yesterday's tomorrow featured pancakes with butter and ketchup. my dad's horrible with food.
i don't know what crazy stuff poor scientists in dire need of money will make. personally, i don't like the thought of machines replacing us in every single. what if it all backfires? [s]I know, I'm a bit paranoid with fiction.[/s]

Technology will rapidly advance due to technology increasing means to advance. Supposedly, it will be advancing so fast we can't keep track of it eventually.

I don't see why humans won't eventually be able to create robots capable of feeling human emotions.

They'll be able to simulate emotions, I can't ever see them actually feeling them.

The human body is nothing but an organic machine composed of parts we don't fully understand. You could argue that the feelings we feel are simulated seeing as they're solely a result of the construction of our brains. The human body, like any machine, is made of different parts that work together to perform a function. Likewise, with the advancement of medical science, I don't see why people won't eventually be able to construct a machine to perform the same functions as a human.
