RevanAckre
My brother and I were doing a duel and I had Obelisk the Tormentor on the field, but he played Soul Exchange, we then proceeded in getting into an argument about whether or not the effect of Soul Exchange worked on a God card (because effects of monsters, spells, and traps only last 1 turn on a God card). I was trying to say it being used as a tribute counted as the card effect and that the effect of my Obelisk being in the Graveyard would only last a turn. He tried to say the opposite. So... does Soul Exchange permanently place Egyptian God monsters in the graveyard or not?
Ieyasu Tokugawa
There's a Q&A thread ya know :/ Also, yes, spell trap effects last only 1 turn, but if any of the Gods would be sent to the grave, they would stay in the grave.
darkwolf777
Soul Exchange cannot even target "Obelisk the Tormentor". Obelisk cannot be targeted by the effects of Spells, Traps, or Monster Effects. Even if Soul Exchange could be used on Obelisk, if he Tributed it, it'd be in the Graveyard for being Tributed. It wouldn't magically come back. Luckily for you, he couldn't play Soul Exchange on Obelisk anyway. Also, next time, use the Q&A.
