[/quote] Actually, I think that the only ones that go to Ultimate are Miracles and Destiny (Tenacity, Pride, and Desire are the other crest that were never used). To be more accurate, that was his first willing encounter. His older brothers, both by six years, were an avid, if somewhat closet, fans of the series and, being the contradictory younger brother he was, Jason wanted nothing to do with it. He eventually gave in a, with only one episode, fell in love with it. Still, he never understood the battle net thing, and didn't really try it out. Why did he have to anyway? He had lots of episodes he need to find on the net to watch. A year later, one brother was successful and the other… not so much. He was still in school, and the speeches his parents loved to give about his grades compared to his brother's (Josh is a programmer, he got all As is school and earn good money, you are practically dropping out. At this rate, you are going to turn out just like Justin; in trouble with the law and with a pregnant girlfriend, a good for nothing, etc, etc) were getting to him. So, he turned back to his new love; digimon. He created a digital equivalent of his problem: a third digimon of the Spirit of Darkness line. As he saw it, Loewemon was like Jake; good at what he did, loved, etc, and Duskmon was like Justin; Evil, at odds with his parents, etc. So, Noirmon and Siamon was himself; third choice, big expectations, lots of potential, not so much is terms of how he worked out for them (okay, Noirmon was a lot cooler than him.) Well, how did he get to the digital world? An email from his brother, one of the programmers for battle net, made him an offer; he'll add Jason's creation to the game if he gave it a try. Figuring he didn't have much to lose, he agreed. As far as his parent's knew, he was following his brother's footsteps (the right brother, in their opinion). True, Jason much preferred Justin over the stiff necked Josh, but their delusion spared him a few lectures, so why correct them? Because if he did, he never would have never played the stupid game, and never would have blacked out, and never would have ended up in this damn forest in the first place. But really, how was he to know that at the time?[/spoiler] Personality: Annoyed, sarcastic, sardonic and seriously never in the mood for criticism from anyone. Seriously. The spirit of darkness fits him mostly because he is filled with what are normally considered dark emotions; doubt, cynicism, arrogance and pride(strangely enough), greed, anger, loss and a good number of others. He tries not to let himself just take the joy out of life, regularly tempering his own pleasure with a health dose of reality and pessimism. But he is self-contradictory, as he is optimistic in some situations and hates others interfering his own happiness and is downright stubborn when ready. His staff/wand is druid homage to Ancientspinxmon a he uses to cast spells of different elements with his black magic. His lanturn acts as a guide for lost souls as well as a beacon to summon the damned to do his bidding. His five tails resemble the ragged ends of shirt or coat and he has a sixth, billowy almost flame like tail that is composed of his spiritual and soul energies. The symbol of darkness is on his knee guards and his collar is a corrupted holy ring. Bandages like what Noirmon had on his elbow hide his face save for his teeth (and by extension mouth) the glow that signs through, marking his eyes. The biggest economic depression we ever had was somewhere in the 1930's, and that would've been gone and dusted in what, 3-4 years? 5 at the very most? They, along with the other Tamers who had fought the D-Reaper on multiple fronts, has initially been hailed as heroes. Then the repercussions started to become more obvious. With most of the Internet gone, and all of the electronic files on it deleted as well, the world had suffered an economic crisis of unimaginable proportions, with the first significant stock market gains in over half a decade occurring within the past couple of months. The United States has fractured into multiple countries, spilling their Second Civil War over into Canada and Mexico, while another war was taking place in Europe as the xenophobic, nationalist countries broke down and started fighting against the refugees "tainting" their nations. Rebellions had cropped up all over the planet, the newest ones in China, while Japan, ironically, elevated itself into a world superpower after annexing the eastern quarter of the former Russian Federation, Mongolia, the Korean Peninsula, the Philippines, and Hawaii in peacekeeping operations. The new Japanese Confederation, now composed of not only Japanese, but former Koreans, Russians, and Philipinos, even some Americans, were preparing to send peacekeeping forces to California. Meanwhile, Rika was working as an understudy in her mother's business, a junior in high school, and a "consultant" for Hypnos, which was still dealing with Bio-Emergences. In fact, they had to fight them even more, now that the Digital World had been decimated. To the inhabitants of the slowly-regenerating wastelands, the human world was definitely the greener grass on the other side of the fence. But Rika, along with other Tamers, were now working to try and settle Digimon-Human relations, with her long-time partner Renamon. After a year of separation, Rika and her companion had finally been reunited, and they were now working together to find ways to keep Hypnos, now changed its stance on digital lifeforms to a less aggressive posture, from totally exiling Digimon as they started to become allies and friends with human Tamers. There were even underground Digimon-fighting circuits in some parts of the world as they slowly started to integrate themselves into a world where both species had to cooperate to survive. At least until Rika had been teleported to this strange place. She slowly got up, checking around to see if there was any signs of life, until she found Renamon lying down nearby as well. She got up, dusting off her clothes. Her attire nowadays was more punkish, preferring to wear this when fighting rogue Digimon instead of her schoolgirl uniform. That just made her feel like one of those "magical girls" from anime shows. Instead, her attire consisted of blackish-grey jeans that were stylistically scuffed in places, black combat boots, a purple shirt under a black jacket with her symbol, a gold broken heart with a bandaid reattaching it, a belt with a yin-yang belt buckle, and purple fingerless gloves. Her hair was no longer reminiscent of a pineapple, but was still spiky, though now at neck length. She also has a pair of polarized sunglasses around her neck, just in case. Renamon had grown with Rika as they had fought together. The formerly 6-foot-tall Digimon had grown to 7 feet, as well as developed a slightly-noticeable pair of breasts that were mostly concealed under the tuft of fur on her chest. As Rika had matured from a girl wanting a symbol of power into a woman who needed a partner, Renamon had become something of an older sister and best friend to the loner. They ate together, slept together, and, most importantly, fought together. Renamon was always there, waiting for Rika to call her name to summon her after she got out of school to go fight Digimon, though Rika was having a hard time balancing homework and Digimon-fighting. Rika stirred her partner awake, worried for her safety. She sometimes surprised herself how much she had changed since her first days as a Tamer. They both got up and prepared themselves for this new challenge, Rika suddenly realizing that she had wished for a challenge after defeating weak Digimon after weak Digimon for the past while. Kari's been pregnant for the last nine months now, and is due to give birth to a son very soon, if not at any second. Immediately after Yamato, or Matt as he's often called instead, and Sora had kissed each other at the altar, all four of the original DegiDestined that were there had suddenly vanished in thin air, only to fall into an ocean in the Digital World. Kari was amongst the last of the four to wake, but she had subconsciously kissed what she thought was her fiancée... only to wake with a start upon realizing she had a full-on kiss with Sora, which she was quick to apologize for. It wasn't long after she was awake that a MarineDevimon was about to attack the four of them, but they were saved by a Whamon, similar to the one that sacrificed itself to give WarGreymon the ability to destroy MetalSeadramon earlier, that swallowed them before swimming back away from the attacking MarineDevimon. This particular Whamon had also swallowed Agumon, Gabumon, Biyomon and Gatomon, who were all there to greet them.
