Andy OK Posted June 21, 2011 Report Share Posted June 21, 2011 Well, my name is Andreas Oliver and I'm Brazilian. I like the Yu-Gi-Oh card game, but I LOVE Mobile Suit Gundam. Then, by finding this website, I've decided to create some cards based on the Gundam 00 series, and share with you. This is no actual set, I've just created this cards based on the ones I happen to own, and I would like you to give your opinions and suggestions about them. Before you do, here is some explanation about a few things from these cards: [b] 1- Why do the cards have the "GNR, GN" stuff as the ID?[/b] A: I took these mostly from their original model codes, while for other cards such as the magic and trap ones who were based off the technology, there was no official code so I had to come up with something based on the rest. Hence the IDs there. [b]2- Why are the credits given to this "Sunrise" and not yourself, the actual Creator of the cards?[/b] A: I decided to give the credits to the ones who actually created the series just to make them a bit more realistic AND as a "Thanks" to the company for making this incredible anime. [b]3- The images art style change from the anime-one to a drawn one. How come?[/b] A: It was HARD to find a decent image of every mobile suit. Some I got from their Model Kit boxes, some others from DeviantArt, and the rest I had to rip either from the anime or from somewhere else. Also, I had to apply some good Photoshop work for the ones that were under the average in terms of quality. Sorry guys if that caused any trouble. [b]4- Wait, I've already seen Gundam 00 cards in this forum. How unoriginal.[/b] A: Maybe you did, and honestly... I was aware that most of these cards have already been done. Still, I wanted to do them, in my own style. Many of the ones I've seen had different or just plain absurd ATK and DEF points, or had a LOT of effects. Here, I tried something a bit more serious and faithful to both the game AND the anime itself. These are MY cards. I saw some errors, but I honestly couldn't be bothered to scroll up to check what you wrote, then scroll down again to rewrite it. Also, some of the cards' text are just too small for me to see. 1. I noticed some Effect Monster didn't actually have any effects (e.g. Cherudim). And when you say "[b]S[/b]ummon"(the "S" is capitalized), specify how it is summoned (Tribute Summon? Normal Summon? Special Summon? Ritual Summon? Synchro Summon?) 2. Not really sure, but I think the correct term for "sacrifice x Life Points" is "pay x LP", and "sacrifice this card" is "Tribute this card" (for monsters, dunno if it's the same for Spell/Trap). 3. Some of the proportions are way off. A 3-star (Nadleeh) shouldn't have 1900/1500, a 6-star (Dynames) only has 1600/1700? 4. "Repair and Reinforcement"'s effect didn't make much sense. Bring all blah blah Monsters from your Graveyard [b][i]to where?[/i][/b]. If it's to your hand, then you can't apply the 500 ATK/DEF bonus. If it Special Summons from the Graveyard, then it's overpowered. 5. Too many Normal Monsters. Normal Monsters aren't really interesting 6. "GN Stealth Field"'s effect should be "While this card is face-up on the field, all monsters you control cannot be targeted for an attack, and cannot be targeted by Spell Cards. Pay 100 LP during each of your Standby Phases (or End Phase, up to you). If you do not: Destroy this card." Also, it's an overpowered card. That's only a few of the many errors I see. I'll get that available in a second, and fix these few mistakes you've pointed out. I'll be updating with the lores and new cards as soon as I can.
