When this card is Synchro Summoned: Target 1 Level 5 or lower non-Tuner Warrior-Type monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon it in face-up Defense Position. Face-up monsters your opponent controls lose ATK equal to the Special Summoned monster's ATK. If your opponent activates a card effect that destroys a card(s) on the field: You can Tribute 1 Warrior-Type monster; Negate the activation of that card and destroy it.

It's a pretty powerful card. It would work well with warrior decks, or most others. I'm only not certain about the summoning requirements. They're pretty specific.

I'd recommend for the last effect you cannot tribute Durandal itself to negate the effect though

would the attack drain be the monsters base ATK or would you be able to attach equip cards to the monster and lower the opponents monsters more?

You can equip cards to it to raise the ATK loss...though Equip Cards are a waste of deck space.
