Radiationite
Hello, nice to meet you all! I've only recently registered onto the forums, but I've had fun using the card generator for awhile now. I was bored today and decided to share a couple of Gundam SEED-themed cards that I've made. I'll try to make more cards in this set in the near future if you guys like them. I'd appreciate it if someone could help me look over OCG errors and tell me if anything looks overpowered. I've also added my notes on the logic behind my chosen lore and such (be warned, they may contain spoilers, so I've set them off in extra spoiler tags!) Without further ado, here are the cards I've made so far:
Lore: This monster can be Special Summoned in face-up Attack position by discarding 2 Machine-type monsters from your hand. You cannot Normal Summon, Special Summon, or Set any other monsters on the turn you Special Summon this monster with its effect. During your Battle Phase, this monster can attack more than once. If this effect is activated, this monster must attack all of your opponent's monsters, and none of your other monsters can attack during that Battle Phase. This effect cannot be activated on the turn that this monster is Summoned.
This is the first card I made in this set and the one that inspired me to start making the other cards. The Special Summoning effect is mostly just an arbitrary buff, but can also represent the dramatic way that the Freedom made its debut. Its attack-all effect simulates the way the Freedom can fire in all sorts of inhumanly possible directions simultaneously in the show.

Lore: During your Main Phase, if you have a "ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam" face-up on your field, this monster can be Special Summoned in face-up Attack position. You cannot Normal Summon, Special Summon, or Set any other monsters on the turn you Special Summon this monster with its effect. If this monster is destroyed in battle, destroy the monster which destroyed it. If this monster is destroyed by a card effect, send all Spell and Trap cards on your opponent's side of the field to the Graveyard.
Now that I think about it, it's kinda funny how Athrun blew up both of his own Gundams (Aegis and Justice) in the first season. But anyways, Justice makes a dramatic entrance (presumably) the turn after Freedom does, the way Justice decisively enters the fray in Phase 38 in season 1 to defend the Freedom from the three original Extended pilots. The suicide-explosion effects are a nod to Athrun's self-destructive tendencies.

Lore: If your opponent has no WATER monsters on their side of the field, this monster can attack while it is in Defense Position. If this monster attacks while it is in Defense position, apply the ATK of this card for damage calculation. This monster must stay in Attack position if your opponent has 1 or more WATER monsters on their side of the field. If this monster attacks your opponent's Life Points directly, increase its ATK by 500 for the damage calculation step.
Auel had an awesome character design; it was a shame he was such a jerk though. I still liked the Abyss in any case. The first half of the effect is obviously inspired by Total Defense Shogun's ability to attack and defend simultaneously. With the ability to hide in the waters in submarine-form while spamming attacks at enemies, I felt that such an ability was appropriate for the Abyss. The last two effects refer to Auel's rather combative nature. In episode 16 of Destiny, Auel destroyed a full submarine just for the heck of it, even when it no longer posed a threat. As such, Abyss gains extra power against a foe with no monsters to defend himself with, and the Abyss will continue attacking any other threats in the water.

Lore: If this monster is in Attack position, it can switch into Defense position at the beginning of your opponent's Battle Phase. If this monster is designated as the target of an attack while it is in Defense position, flip a coin. If tails, negate the attack.
Gaia's effect refers to its ability to switch into that really short quadruped dog-like form. It is amazingly annoying to try to hit Gaia while it's in that form in the GBA GS Destiny game, since you basically have to sweep-kick it to even hit it. Anyways, its rather effective dodging ability is represented by the 50% chance that opponents have to fail to hit Gaia. Stella's recklessness in piloting gives Gaia its high attack and low defense.

Lore: When this monster is successfully Summoned, place 2 DRAGOON counters on it (max. 2). This monster gains 200 ATK for each DRAGOON counter on it. This monster cannot be destroyed in battle except by a WIND monster. If it has any, remove 1 DRAGOON counter from this monster every time this monster participates in battle.
Probably my least favorite of the three second-generation Extended, but it's alright I guess. While Chaos is obviously offense-based, its second effect gives it a certain measure of protection like the Gaia has. The first effect also allows me to introduce the DRAGOON counter, which will pop up in several other cards to come.

Lore: If this monster is designated as the attack target of an EARTH monster, negate the attack.
My first impression when I first saw the Raider in OP...3 (I think) of season one was that the Blitz had come back to life. I liked the Blitz (poor Nicol). I didn't really like the Raider though. Yeah, it has the same ATK/DEF spread as Gaia; heck, it and Gaia even look so similar for some reason...Anyways, its Earth immunity mimics its flying abilities. That's all I have to say about it.

Lore: During your Battle Phase, you can Tribute 1 monster on your side of the field to increase this monster's ATK by 1000 until the end of your turn.
One of my favorite card pics I've used so far. Like with the Raider, Gaia, and Chaos, Calamity has an offense-biased stat spread. However, unlike the other three which have some sort of protective buff, I opted to make Calamity an all-out glass cannon. A 3000 ATK monster 5-star just sounds fun to play around with, and I was pleased with how a one-sentence effect captured the essence of this Gundam so well. The Tribute accounts for Orga's constant friendly fire; as for the massive firepower...just look at the picture!

Lore: This monster's attacks cannot be negated. Any monsters this card destroys in battle is removed from play. While this card is in Defense Position, it can only be destroyed in battle.
I hated Shani when I first watched the series and was actually quite relieved when that psychopath died, though I read a nice Shani X Lacus fanfic a few months ago (weird combo, I know), and so I don't dislike him as much anymore. Anyways, like Abyss, Forbidden is primarily defensive with some attack buffs. Its unblockable attacks represent how the Forbidden could bend light for its attacks (totally unfair in my opinion), while the remove-from-play effect shows how aggressive Shani is with destroying his hapless foes. Meanwhile, the third effect shows how (like in the picture), the Forbidden can deflect all sorts of beams and lights and fancy stuff. The only thing that could stop it was a good ol' sword to the cockpit.

Lore: This monster cannot be Set. This monster can be Normal Summoned without any Tributes. When this monster is Summoned, place 4 DRAGOON counters on it (max. 8 ). This monster gains 200 ATK for each DRAGOON counter on it. If it has any, remove 1 DRAGOON counter from this monster every time this monster participates in battle. When this monster attacks your opponent directly, halve its ATK for damage calculation. You can shift control of this monster to your opponent during your Main Phase. If you control this monster during your End Phase, destroy it and take damage equal to this card's ATK.
Such a fun (albeit long) effect to write! Rau le Creuset was 4 things: adept military man, double dealer, psychopath, and genetically twisted. This card attempts to reflect all 4 facets of his nature. His ridiculously easy Normal Summon represents his accelerated growth, while his time-bomb style last effect represents his limited lifespan. The inability to be Set was just a random aside. The DRAGOON counters make an appearance again; that max. 8 is not an error, I will be making some DRAGOON counter replenishing cards in the future. The fact that you can have a no-Tribute, 3200 ATK monster right out of the gun is scary indeed. However, the good news ends there. The half-ATK effect was to balance Providence and to prevent players from nuking opponents too easily. The control-shifting represents Rau's traitorous nature. In addition to his messed up genes, the Providence's volatile self-destruction at the End Phase if you control him represents both his death from GENESIS as well as the fact that this psychopath wanted to destroy EVERYTHING, not just his enemies.

Lore: A massive GUNDAM created for the sole purpose of wreaking havoc and instilling terror amongst the people. It is capable of annihilating entire cities within hours.
Yep, my first vanilla Gundam. In my opinion, there's no better way to put it: a massive powerhouse that just beats the daylights out of everything in sight. 4000 ATK and DEF could be an understatement. Yet for all of Destroy's destructiveness and all, only Stella's took any sort of effort from the main characters to defeat; the rest of the Destroys got flattened by normal-sized Gundams. And with the semi-mass-production of the Destroys, I didn't feel there was really any unique ability I could give to the Destroy. Plus making a vanilla monster was a good change of pace.

Lore: This monster cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This monster can only be Special Summoned when 3 or more monsters with "Gundam" in their names are destroyed from your field within 1 turn. This monster must be summoned in face-up Defense Position. This monster cannot be destroyed by card effects. As long as this monster is in face-up Defense Position on your field, no other monsters on your field can be selected as a battle target.

Aug. 14th, 2011: Freedom and Justice posted. Radiationite
Bump up, I've updated with Chaos, Gaia, and Abyss. I've also nerfed Freedom and edited Justice slightly.
Nu-Mou Knight
These cards ar great. I was expecting mediocre stuff, considering you're new, but I really like these. The effects are a bit much to go through all of them, but I can't see any significant errors or powering problems. 8/10, keep up the good work
Radiationite
Thanks for commenting I think I might've gone a bit overboard with uber-long effects (particularly the Freedom, I didn't even know Yugioh card captions came in that tiny font size lol), but in my opinion making these zany effects was one of the most fun parts of creating these cards in the first place. I'll try to update this set as much as I can; hope you stop by later and enjoy the future cards as much as you liked these!
Radiationite
Updated with four more Gundams. The Providence probably has my favorite effect of the set so far, so please check that one out in particular!
Great Unclean One: VK
Good cards dood. But you chosen one of the many anime series I hate with all my being. Each time I remember watching Gundam SEED and SEED Destiny, I want to slip into my uncontrollable rage and go on a unending spree of hatred and primal urges. Each time I f***ing hear the english dub of Kira's bitchy voice, I want to punch my dog in his snout. Each time I hear Lacus's voice, I want to kick him. Congrats. You've just made me want to make a Getter archetype to balance this thing out.
Radiationite
Oh dear...try not to hurt your doggie D: At least you liked my actual cards though, and thank you for your compliments on them! Just wondering, what is a Getter archetype?
Great Unclean One: VK
Basically any archetype that has 3 or more machine combining to make 1 super robot card that's awesomesauce. Example: XYZ Dragon Cannon, Machiner Force, and Skyfire. Based on this manly anime:
jkheoift
Freedom could be better.
Radiationite
jkheoift: Could you be more specific? Vulgaris: Wow, that sounds awesome. Actually, I already have a couple of Gundams that might possibly hit that 3+ Machine requirement in mind. Wish me luck with those xD
Radiationite
Gonna bump this thread up. I added it a couple days ago, but I don't believe I've introduced my most recent card, the vanilla but nevertheless powerful Destroy Gundam. Radiationite
Hey guys, it's been a while. Now that I'm on break, I've had a little time to continue this project again Added the Akatsuki. See what you guys think
sgrug4
OCG could be better. For starters, if you are referring to a card itself, dont call it This monster. It's This card.
