You have awoken on the streets of New Domino City, dazed and confused. Passerby are still talking about some sort of bright light that appeared in the sky, but you appear to be suffering from some sort of throbbing headache. However, you now have two sets of memories. One is of the world you know now, learning how to play Duel Monsters and dueling with your ace cards. However, another set of memories remembers another you, from a world where childrens' card games do not exist, though a bright light ends the memories at some point.
You must figure out what is going on, and who among those who have multiple memories is behind this plot, before it's too late...

1. All YCM RP Forum Rules apply.
2. Your character must be from a universe that is not Yu-Gi-Oh!. I mean it. But I will allow for Bakugan, Duel Masters, and Cardfight! Vanguard characters.
3. No OCs. Period. If you can't give me a Wiki page for your character (not from a Fanon wiki!), then you can't use the character. However, you may use real-life people, such as Barack Obama.
5. Your characters must use pre-existing cards. You cannot use a deck consisting mainly of custom cards or a custom archetype. However, you may use custom cards from pre-existing archetypes.
5. Please try to make the character's deck fit the character. Giving Ichigo from Bleach a Lightsworn Deck, Light from Death Note a Naturia Deck, or Misty from Pokemon a Flamvell Deck is just silly. Make them fit.
6. Also, any cards that are one-of-a-kind or have only specific owners, like the Signer Dragons, the Wicked Gods, or the Blue-Eyes White Dragons, are not allowed, otherwise every character and their cousins would be running Stardust. However, you may PM me or another co-owner to ask whether a custom substitute would be alright, though you have to show us the substitute in question and let one of us approve it.

Personality: Reina is normally calm and collected, but she holds a lot of her emotions inside. She maintains an air of authority
Bio: Reina is a KaibaCorp scientist that was researching into new ways to use Ener-D when an accident caused her and several of her co-workers to be altered. They quickly became sick, and went home, only to be cocooned for several days, and emerge as biomechanical superhumans dubbed "Neogenes". Reina created some special bracelets that function as Solid Vision projectors, disguising their monstrous forms. But now, she is coming to terms with the reality that she remembers a young girl named Rihoko, her daughter in this other set of memories, whom she loves dearly...as well as being killed by Maria, her other daughter.
Motive: She died in the other set of memories, so she wouldn't want to go back just to die again.
Duel Disk/Duel Runner: Reina uses a standard silver Duel Disk with pink gems, but in her Neogene form, she can use her blade as a Duel Disk. She can also use special wheels in the soles of her feet in Neogene form to propel herself to Duel Runner speeds.

Bio: Kurohime is a ruffian from Satellite who grew notorious as a one-woman gang. She went up against other dueling gangs and easily won, but eventually tired of fighting against them, and set off to go find other opponents. Now a Pro Duelist, she has returned to New Domino for a major tournament. But ever since the Flash, she is attempting to figure out how to use her magic again, as well as find this universe's Zero.
Motive: She's a badass who doesn't play by the rules. Plus, her magic and time shenanigans might have made it possible for her to have transported everyone here for her own sick amusement.
Duel Disk/Duel Runner: Kurohime has a sword and a gun, but her Duel Disk is disguised as the shorter sword on her hip. It unfolds into a Duel Disk for her, allowing her to holster her other weapons. Plus, she possesses a beautiful black Duel Runner with a flame theme that she calls "Asura".

Personality: Aisha can be rather absent-minded at times, acting on rash impulse and not really caring about anyone other than herself, and she tends to act like a 12 year old child. She is also very ego centric and very absorbed in her races pride.
Bio: Aisha grew up on her own, like most in the slummy part of Satellite. She has always known a sense of pride in doing what she sets her mind to, and will stop at nothing to gain it. She has fought hard and long to gain the status she has as a duelist, traveling far from her humble roots to prove she is one of the strongest duelists around. Her brutish style of dueling often leads her into making exploited moves, but she always seems to pull a victory from almost certain defeat. She sees an upcoming tournament as a great stepping stone to proving she is the best. That and a nice lump sum of cash never hurt in her eyes.
Motive: Aisha is convinced of her strength and abilities, so it is very possible she has set things into motion to prove to everyone that she is in fact the strongest fighter in any given universe.

[b]Personality:[/b] Mami is a very casual and laidback person taking most things in stride and is naturally very polite when talking, quite often only referring to people by their surnames and using formal addresses. She is also very independent, having been living by herself for quite some time, and is capable of taking care of herself and others if necessary, however she does have a bad habit of keeping her feelings to herself and can sometimes come off as a bit of a loner. Her style of duelling is very focused and disciplined and she takes great care with each one of her moves, keeping an eye on her opponent’s play style and cards.

[b]Bio:[/b] Mami’s been living by herself in New Domino ever since a car accident that killed both her parents and nearly herself. While recovering in hospital Mami took up learning to play Duel Monsters to pass the time and forget the grief about her parent’s death. While in the hospital Mami had a recurring nightmare about being trapped in a strange land made entirely of cakes and sweets before being attacked by a strange clown-like monster and eaten. Mami doesn’t know what these nightmares mean but somehow feels like she has experienced it somewhere before. The strangest thing about the nightmares is that each time they seem different, sometimes she is alone and afraid and others she is with two other girls and seems to be having the time of her life before the monster comes and kills her and one where she is fighting a completely different monster altogether. Ever since the strange flash Mami’s nightmares have become more frequent and more vivid, to the point where Mami could swear she remembers having her head bitten off and dying.

Personality: Striving to be the best, like always, Richie is very confident of his abilities as a duelist. He feels his Gladiator Beasts understand him like no other (in this universe, at least), which although not entirely rare, is still a strange and uncommon relationship nonetheless.
Bio: Out of all the people that originally [i]weren't[/i] in the Yu-gi-oh! universe, Richie McCaw remembers his memories the best. After all, he's been wearing the one thing that's been helping him remember his memories, his All Blacks uniform, the entire time. Richie also has a small memory of flying a plane, but what's got him stumped is how he could possibly be both a pilot [i]and[/i] a rugby player at the same time. Richie has spent a great deal of time in a New Domino City bar trying to sort his memories out, to a point that he's become a regular customer whose been participating, and winning quite easily, the bar's local duel monsters tournaments there. Richie claims to be able to win because his Gladiators 'speak to him', so to speak, but there's no denying the scepticism amongst the entire bar. Looks like Richie has to prove a point all over again.
Motive: To prove he's the best rugby player in the entire multiverse.
Duel Disk/Runner: Labelled 'Dark Kiwi', Richie's Duel Runner looks and functions similar to the 'Blackbird' ridden by Crow Hogan, but it's coated in a chrome black paint instead of a metallic black paint with sections of orange. It also has white stripes on both sides of the vehicle, and a kiwi symbol on the very front. Richie's Duel Disk, on the other hand, is just a simple black one.

Bio: In the world of YGO, lelouch is a school student from a city in Britain, which is why he is english, who rose a rebellion against that city after his father, who was a high level politician, was killed by the corrupt government he was trying to change from within. The rebellion went well until the prime minister of the city found out that lelouch was leading the rebellion, and used his father's former position to turn the rest of the rebellion against him, thus causing him to run away and end up in New Domino City. Soon after, he gained memories of a different life in a different world, that of his life in the world of Code Geass, up to the point where he dies after achieving the Zero Requiem.
Motive: Figure out what the new set of memories mean and attempt to bring peace to this world.

Bio: Tenri was an only child in an average family, although her father is often absent. When she was 7, she and a boy from her school were exploring a cave when an earthquake occurred. When the boy was knocked unconscious, she was forced to drag him out, despite being attacked by what seemed to be ghosts. Shortly after, she moved away, and at around the same time she began talking with an imaginary friend, "Diana", who represented a more confident and outgoing version of her.
Ten years later, when she moved close to the boy from the past, she was occasionally using the Diana persona to stick up for herself, however things changed again when she suddenly regained memories of another life, a life where Diana was a real entity - and it was at that point that her imaginary friend seemed to take on a life of her own.
Diana claims to have no memories of anything that occurred prior to awakening in Tenri's body.
Motive: Tenri simply wants to know which version of reality is the truth. Diana, however, may have found a way to find the gods and goddesses of other worlds, and use their power...
Duel Disk/Duel Runner: Tenri has no duel disk. She does however have a duel board, and Diana is capable of withstanding any potential collision. Her duel disk is gold, with straight card zones with wing patterns on the ends.

[b]Bio:[/b] Itachi is a genius Duelist-...no, a [i]prodigy[/i] that excels in many subjects at a young age. He was the original inventor of the Yata-Garasu Lockdown, and he gained worldwide popularity for this, but after Yata-Garasu's banning, though he continued to excel as a duelist using his Spirit monsters, his worldwide fame slowly faded away.
One day, he unlocked the legendary Sharingan foretold of in his family's legends when he was pushed off a building by a hated school rival of his in order to save his life. Since he unlocked it, he's been starting to gain memories of some other self of his... which includes a nightmare with him killing his entire family in cold blood, all memories of which he has decided to keep to himself.
[b]Motive:[/b] To discover and learn more about the means to truly change the world.
[b]Duel Disk/Duel Runner:[/b] He uses a standard silver Duel Disk. As for his Duel Runner, he originally used just a standard Alpha frame, but to the insistence of many during his worldwide fame, it was upgraded into a jet-black version with a kind of futuristic 'roof' added. Also made lighter to allow for more speed, but not so light that it would be too fast to control, of course.

Personality: Kai is a very serious person, being a bit of a stereotypical “Strong and silent” type. He rarely talks with anyone, and hasn’t always been the nicest person in the world, which is most likely why he doesn’t make many friends. Still, he retains a certain charm in his character.
He often chooses doing things alone instead of with the help of others, as that’s how most of his life went. He prefers fending for himself, and barely ever accepts help from anyone (So far, he hasn’t [i]ever[/i] accepted help from anyone). He has a habit of saying “Final Turn!” during his fights/duels, during the supposed “Final Turn”.
Bio: Kai lived his childhood like anyone else, with family and such. He had a group of friends who had formed a school team of duelists, Kai being the leader. Kai’s team disbanded, however, at the end of their High School Graduation, where they each ended up moving to different areas of the world to live out their lives. Kai still remembers the members of his team, though he rarely mentions it to anyone should he even speak. Kai spends his time living alone now, fending for himself.
Motive: To reunite people with the friends they’ve lost, so that they don’t have to live alone, with the same feeling that Kai experienced when his team disbanded, and his friends left.

[b]Bio:[/b] Link never knew his parents and instead grew up in an orphanage, spending most of his time there reading books about knights and heroes. He quickly learned to read and write at a young age to make up for being mute, caused by a problem with his larynges that prevented him from speaking and allowed him only to make loud yells and cries. Due to his disability Link felt isolated from others and aspired to leave and see more of the world by himself, leading him to move out of the orphanage to attend college at the age of 17, saying his farewells (as best he could) and looking forward to an adventure.

Personality: Light is very smart, almost a genius, and very good at all his classes, though he isn't the most social of person. He is a strong believer in justice, causing him to make his Ally of Justice Deck, and will usually stand up against bullies in school.
Bio: Light is a 1st year university student in New Domino City, who has lived in the city all his life. His father is a high up policeman, who taught Light to believe in justice in the first place. Light already works freelance for the police from time to time, though he hopes to become a full policeman once he finishes university. When he gained the memories of a different life, they shocked him at first, before he figured out that they must have been what happened in a parallel universe, though that is just his theory. His memories from the other life span to further into the future than he currently is, as he can remember up to dieing, before the memories drop off. He still wants to finish university and enter the police force, but since he has gained the memories, he has started hunting and killing dangerous criminals himself.
Motive: Light wants to make New Domino City a city free of criminals, but still thinks that the police force isn't doing enough to get that achieved, and has decided to take matters into his own hands.

Bio: At first, Jenova had been living in Satellite, living a life of secrecy. She wasn't going to let anyone know of her true memories, but when some Satellite goons tried to get some info of her, she didn't hesitate to challenge them to a duel. But this wasn't any duel, this was a Psychic Duel, and the Arcadia Movement were impressed when they saw Jenova defeat the goons with relative ease. Since then, she's been living in [i]their[/i] headquarters, constantly engaging in even more Psychic Duels against some of the best members. But something was still amiss, and yet no-one could ever quite put their finger on it. Was Jenova [i]truly [/i]destined to overthrow the Arcadia Movement and destroy every duelist out there, or was the founder just being paranoid?
Motive: Same motive as its always been... roam through the entire multiverse until she can find a planet in a universe in which she can thrive on.
Duel Disk/Duel Runner: Jenova uses neither a Duel Runner nor a Duel Disk. What she does have, however, is the ability to literally summon real monsters, cast real spells and set real traps from the cards themselves. Since she doesn't have a Duel Disk, Jenova holds her hand cards in her hand, and puts her Deck and Extra Deck in one pocket and her Graveyard and Banished Cards in the other.

Appearance: In his new, human form, Takanuva has peachy skin, yellow eyes and blonde hair. He can’t stand wearing dark clothes and thus always wears a gold-coloured T-shirt and a bleached-white tracksuit.
Personality: Takanuva has a tendency to act a little childish from time to time, as his old self used to be, however, he acts like he has a great responsibility on his shoulders for reasons his new self has trouble understanding. He also believes in three virtues of life; unity, duty and destiny. Why he’s followed these ideals is now a mystery to him.
Bio: Takanuva’s human self has always been afraid of the dark, and it wasn’t until his teenage years that he managed to overcome this fear and start taking responsibility. When he was seven, he was introduced to Duel Monsters and took a shine to it – literally. He began using nothing but LIGHT monsters and fairies, rarely if at all using monsters of DARK, which he still hates at 19 years. Although he was never the best, his ideals of unity, duty and destiny give him the courage to keep dueling even when it seems he will lose. From the age of nine onwards, Takanuva also became a bit of an artist, often drawing various science-fiction worlds. One he like the most was one inhabited by machines instead of people, though he got stuck with ideas when he made the main characters defeat the antagonist, and gave up, forgetting about it.
Following his entrance to New Domino City, which he had just moved to, he felt himself acquire memories he thought could not possibly be real. They were the memories of his self from the BIONICLE universe, where he had been a matoran called Takua and then became something called a “Toa” of light, who had many adventures with other strange Bio-Mechanical creatures. His memory cutoff is just prior to his entrance to Karda Nui. Since he gained these memories, Takanuva has been digging up his old drawings and tried comparing them, making him question his identity. Due to his new memories, he’s also found himself saying phrases he would never have thought himself to say.
Motive: To discover his true self, and to piece together his memories.
Duel Disk/Duel Runner: His Duel Disk is a standard GX-style academy disk which he bought online, however it has been customized to be in gold and white instead of grey. His Duel Runner is a standard one, painted gold and white like everything else of his. It has a strange golden mask drawn on the front, which for some reason has always made him feel comfortable.
Deck Type: Takanuva uses no archetype, however his strategy is to play fairies and light monsters such as Honest, Archlord Zerato and Master Hyperion.

Appearance: Teridax appears taller than most people, and he’s also quite bulky in the muscle department as well. He always wears black and red clothes, sometimes with a bit of green. His face reflects his personality, in that it makes him look evil or as if he was planning something.
Personality: Teridax is, and always will be, evil. He had a brother-like relationship with a friend of his called Matt Newe. He is quick to anger and is also protective of his dream to rule the world. He is sometimes charismatic to the point it is as if people are under his control, albeit in an “infected” mind.
Bio: As far back as he could remember, Teridax was friends with a slightly older boy called Matt Newe. However, when Matt seemed to get more oppertunities in life, the nine-year-old Teridax grew jealous and betrayed him by pushing his “brother” off a balcony. The incident caused his friend to fall into a coma which has not yet ended. Teridax was sent to a young offender’s institute until he was sixteen because of this, and his wicked heart grew. By his current age of 20, he has an army of people that seem to worship him due to his charisma, and have become about as evil as himself. When he received the new memories, he couldn’t understand what to make of them. After all, no matter how bizarre your personality is it’s difficult to believe memories of being a biomechanical being. That said, he found it strange how his self in the new memories resembled the events of his ‘real’ life. His memory cutoff is just after he and Takanuva fell into the pool of energized protodermis.
Motive: Teridax wants to rule the world – the universe for that matter. His mind is extremely warped, so he doesn’t care as much about his memories. However, he does want to discover which memories are real.
Duel Disk/Duel Runner: Teridax wears a Black and Red duel disk which has each spell/Trap and Monster zone on a different “blade”. When it closes, all the blades turn into one block and insert themselves inside the device. His Duel Runner is large and bulky, with an odd looking face on the front. It is painted in red and black, but has green splashes here and there which resemble poison.

in the line of fire. He will never purposely harm anyone, this is seen as his greatest weakness, but it's in fact
what makes up for his extensive list of flaws. Tsuna's will to protect his friends is what drives him.

Tsuna is a pacifist, he will never raise a fist at anyone unless they've raised their fists at his friends.

Personality: Kanade is usually very closed off about her emotions, and doesn't understand other peoples emotions very well. She is a gentle and caring person usually but will defend herself if she needs to. She does like Mapo Doufu though, even though it is very spicy.

Bio: Kanade has lived in New Domino City for her whole life, and has been dueling since she was old enough to understand the game. Her parents are rich, as her mother is a medical scientist, but because of that she rarely sees her mother. Her father was a duel champion in another town before he met Kanade's mother, and quit dueling to marry her, though he now works parttime as a duel official in the town instead. He was the one to teach Kanade to duel, though she chose her deck herself. She also ended up having a heart transplant at age 12, because her original one had an uncurable cancer that hadn't left the heart area yet.

Kanade hasn't had many friends, as she isn't very sociable, and those she did have all ended up moving away with their parents and leaving her alone in the town, which caused her to become more closed off. Recently she has gained some memories of a different life, and an afterlife after she died in the other life, and has been spending time down in the local gardens trying to figure out what it all means.

Motive: Kanade wants to make new friends and figure out why she has memories of an afterlife, as well as to find her purpose in life.

She also goes to great lengths to conceal faults in order to maintain her reputation. She is sort of a tsundere, and trusts others too much.
Bio: At school, she was always a perfect student even when she was still young. She studied a lot in order to become the Number One Student, and one day, she was awarded the Duel Disk of Testament,
Motive: In order to find out more about the truth, about what's right and what's wrong.
Duel Disk/Duel Runner: The Duel Disk of Testament is an exclusive Duel Disk that can use generate a lightning, fiery, shadowy, or any other kind of effect that can be used to give anything within a five-foot radius a special hologram effect, like setting it on fire or making it cackle with electricity. Overall, it looks like a normal Duel Disk, the only difference being it has a crescent shape. She also owns a normal Duel Board.
Deck Type: Archfiend Deck, mainly using a Beatdown strategy, but switches to more of a Lockdown strategy later in the duel.

Original Universe: Digimon Tamers
Appearance: Completely different appearance to how she was 3 years ago, the only that hasn't changed being that she still has blue eyes. Her hair had been died blood red, and is permanently let down, cut to shoulder length and thinned dramatically. She also has rope burns where she used to have a couple of wristbands. Rika now currently stands at 5' 10" and has grown a more muscular body and abnormally large breasts, even for an adult. She still only ever wears jeans as her lower clothing, albeit with buckles this time, but now she dress much more provocatively from the waist up, with only a bikini top to cover her breasts and a heavy blazer which she likes to leave open most of the time. A much larger version of Rika's coveted broken heart is now tattooed on her back, and now she has several piercing, including three needles in one of her cheeks, a couple rows of steels spikes that were arranged to appear as eyelashes and even a couple in each of her breasts, which are visible through the top if studied carefully.
Personality: The same as she was during the beginning of the series, even more so now that she's hit puberty. She's also had a touch of hot blood, but whether she had it since puberty or an event cropped up that caused it is unknown. But she certainly won't take orders from anyone.
Bio: Rika Nonaka has lived her life in this universe as the best student in Neo Domino City Duel Academy. She was sitting an exam when The Flash occurred, and has been unable to concentrate on it since, but gladly took the opportunity to leave the Academy for a few hours, in an attempt to properly recover. So far, however, she's been unable to get her memory out of her head, where, during her 13th birthday, she'd been controlled by a bug-like Digimon with a single eye, and tricked into attacking a fox-like Digimon and another child around her own age. Out of all the others who had gained memories of their own events, Rika was the most adamant that hers wasn't true because even if the Digimon would've latched onto her, she was sure she would've ripped it back off of her or slammed it into a wall... or something.
Motive: So she can master a whole new children's card game.
Duel Disk/Duel Runner: A basic blue DUEL DISK SYSTEM!!!11!!1!1! Trademark. That's all she has in terms of dueling equipment, but she [i]is[/i] looking at getting a Duel Runner in the near future, when she gets the money for it.

Personality: Aisha can be rather absent-minded at times, acting on rash impulse and not really caring about anyone other than herself, and she tends to act like a 12 year old child. She is also very ego centric and very absorbed in her races pride.
Bio: Aisha grew up on her own, like most in the slummy part of Satellite. She has always known a sense of pride in doing what she sets her mind to, and will stop at nothing to gain it. She has fought hard and long to gain the status she has as a duelist, traveling far from her humble roots to prove she is one of the strongest duelists around. Her brutish style of dueling often leads her into making exploited moves, but she always seems to pull a victory from almost certain defeat. She sees an upcoming tournament as a great stepping stone to proving she is the best. That and a nice lump sum of cash never hurt in her eyes.
Motive: Aisha is convinced of her strength and abilities, so it is very possible she has set things into motion to prove to everyone that she is in fact the strongest fighter in any given universe.

[b]Personality:[/b] Mami is a very casual and laidback person taking most things in stride and is naturally very polite when talking, quite often only referring to people by their surnames and using formal addresses. She is also very independent, having been living by herself for quite some time, and is capable of taking care of herself and others if necessary, however she does have a bad habit of keeping her feelings to herself and can sometimes come off as a bit of a loner. Her style of duelling is very focused and disciplined and she takes great care with each one of her moves, keeping an eye on her opponent’s play style and cards.

[b]Bio:[/b] Mami’s been living by herself in New Domino ever since a car accident that killed both her parents and nearly herself. While recovering in hospital Mami took up learning to play Duel Monsters to pass the time and forget the grief about her parent’s death. While in the hospital Mami had a recurring nightmare about being trapped in a strange land made entirely of cakes and sweets before being attacked by a strange clown-like monster and eaten. Mami doesn’t know what these nightmares mean but somehow feels like she has experienced it somewhere before. The strangest thing about the nightmares is that each time they seem different, sometimes she is alone and afraid and others she is with two other girls and seems to be having the time of her life before the monster comes and kills her and one where she is fighting a completely different monster altogether. Ever since the strange flash Mami’s nightmares have become more frequent and more vivid, to the point where Mami could swear she remembers having her head bitten off and dying.
